Merck Oncology?

I'm an Oncology rep with 4 years of experience at Lilly and looking to make a change. Is Merck Oncology a good option? Is everyone selling Emend and Zolinza or do you have something else?

Emend is NOT an oncology drug- it is simply an anti-emetic sold in oncology offices (but Emend is what you are supposed to spend 99.9% of your time on). Zolinza is a good product in an almost non-existent market; Temodar and Intron-A are good, but are ten years old with no new data. Merck manages all of their field as if they were in 3rd grade so if you are looking to improve your skills and widen your knowledge Merck is probably not a good option for you. Best of luck.

Stay at Lilly if it is tolerable. Merck is a sinking ship. A stinking ship too. Good luck to you either way.

Dont have high hopes coming here- everyone is trying to get out- especially those with talent. Its an awful awful nasty environment here now. has been for the last year.

There is no such thing as Merck oncology...MRL does not do oncology, and Dick Clark waited too long to buy anything even remotely valuable. If you pay attention to the canaries in the coal mine...say Muna B and or Bill G (two well connected folks)....they have recently left. Merck talks the oncology game for "the street"...but has not been able to attract nor retain any sig scientists into MRL...
