Merck merging with BMS !

A double reverse merger in order to confuse J&J? Or has BMS just come to realize the hidden value in Merck based solely on their reading Cafe Pharma blog posts? I'll believe a Merck merger-of-equals rumor when it involves a Chinese or Indian pharma and when it suggests the clowns now at the head of Merck will be transferring their collective talents to Barnum and Bailey.

There will be another shake-up. It will not serve to confuse J&J, however. It will serve to confuse the Merck employees, just as the other "reorganizations" have. When the smoke clears, half of us will be gone and it will be really hard to decipher that for those that remain. It's a classic deception that's used over and over and most are too stupid to realize it.
 






Ok, seriously folks, where is this rumor coming from that Merck is merging with BMS? I have not found any info confirming this including talking with some of my BMS associates.

Nope!! You are wrong post #9. Post number was asking a sincere question. I work for the corp office with BMS. We are not merging with Merck. You should be a bit more informed about your own company before calling your fellow Merck compadres idiots. It seems to me you fit that bill!

I work next to you at the corp office for BMS and yes it was in People magazine and you should be a bit more informed at your own company before you shoot your mouth off and pretend you work for BMS. That would be the very same beggars-can't-be-choosers-Merck? Schering-Plough was situated perfectly well for a company of its size. Legacy S-P folks all are completely aware that Hassan was intentionally keeping the company over-staffed in order to attract suitors. However, any buyout would inevitably use that fat as a means to apparently justify a merger. It is clear that Merck wasted the selection process opportunity by missing some true talent for the merged company. Perhaps this is just another feature of the fatal arrogance that Merck has been exhibiting throughout its long but very certain decline. If there is a shoot-yourself-in-the-foot feature that S-P would never have made, it would be losing value from the Remicade agreement, something that only the Merck-driven agreement could possibly screw up. S-P was probably better than most, but Merck has made it very clear to all that it is now truly pathetic, especially when one considers just how talented thier folks formerly were and how valuable they used to be.
 






At the Mother Ship in Whitehouse Station. Lots of close door meeting with BMS folks today. It could be just some partnership discussions. We need to replace patent loss on several items including Singulair. Here we go again !

I think that BMS and Merck are in the same Liar's Poker league. That could explain them getting together.
