Merck led the way to the cliff

I was a rep in the 80's when Merck led the way in all things pharmaceutical. Good and bad it seems. With the addition of the "Merckettes" the whole industry was led down the slippery slope towards where we are today. The whole industry is driven by diversity, and huge tits, and you all know the lack of respect that is shown to current representatives. Any reps that were there then and now know what I mean and although the eye-candy is nice at meetings, it has ruined the whole profession.

Totally agree....Tits and ass, along with an over-expansion in the last decade (which included not only "Barbies", but "Kens" too!) has cheapened what was once a very respected profession. So glad I am over 50 and near the end...tired of seeing the destruction around me.

But they were so full of self esteem! You tried to make a comment at a meeting and this new crop would look at you dear tenured rep and quietly said shut up because we know better. After awhile I could not understand their chit chat about botox, latest fashion, which club to hang out after hour, etc. I even thought they were making double or triple my income. Now I realize they were the prototypes of spending what you don't have until you drop.
