This quote from an article on Merck's support for Obamacare really struck. Does Merck really know what it wants to do or wants it wants to be anymore???

Merck has always been a northeastern Liberal bastion! Anything that sells another pill paid for by someone else's money is great with Merck! Don't you remember Clinton, Vagelos and the baby at Rahway, when Clinton was holding a baby and it barfed all over him..should have gotten Vagelos as well! Think it is a requisite that you be a socialist or 'pocket' Marxist to be on Mercks board and CEO etc. is left of that. As a brother you know that 'Frash' is going to go along with 'YoMama' on anything!

libral bias had nothing to do with this one. this was the sleazy backroom deal big pharma cut with the Obama admin. before the health care debate even began. In exchange for support of Obama care and a dead drop of a huge amount of cash, Obama agreed to not level price controls for drugs re-imbursed by medicare. It's really a kickback on a huge scale and as usual the big loser is the american public. This is how our wondeful system works. Industry in bed with government and when both get in trouble guess who pays? Our "watchdog" media also swept this under the rug. Who, these days, looks out for the poor taxpaying american schmuck, who's first in war, last in peace? Answer- no one.

Agreed this has nothing to do with being a liberal or not. It's business. You have to pretend you are supporting the current administration or to be painted as the Evil Drug Company.
