Ok...I know things never stay the same...industries change...some evolve...some (like Merck) devolve...

When I started in this wacky industry way back when, it was an elegant, dignified place to be...I cut a fine figure in my well cut suit, and had excellent and lasting relationships (to Merck's benfit) with my physicians and pharmacists.

Flash forward to 2011...I was harassed and pushed out of the company...The job had become an absolute joke anyway, due to Merck's stupedous mismanagement and culture
of fear and loathing.

I can handle some change...But Merck took a perfectly good career, and flushed it down
the toilet for thousands of reps...

Now most of us are pretty much hosed if we are over 50 and have nothing but pharma sales and Merck on our resumes...

Count me in too- One can only hope that Karma will reign against the managers that that PIP'ed and harrassed us all out! I hope the two clowns that I had as managers in the end get what they deserve for what they did!
 








More reasons to employ my 15x15 strategy. Working 15 hours a weeks until at least 2015! It is for the honorable reps like you that I do what I do. (Plus working 15 hours a week and getting paid for 40 isn't that bad either!) 15x15..... embrace and enjoy the lifestyle!

Merck also poisoned my cheese. But at least I can go out and get new cheese. What I find sad is the reps who are still out there worrying about layoffs. Merck management--they took company that was great and stomped the shit out it.

they did stomp the shit out of it, and the only ones who benefitted were the execs who are still bleeding the place dry...
