MERCK CONTRACT AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How much does it pay?

Not so great! Part-Time!
The lady that called me said that Merck was going to micromanage the Hell out of you. They want a certain person without a job and not calling on these offices now. Merck wants you to do it the Merck way!
She didn't ask me who I was calling on......so how would she know!

Lastly, Touchpoint if you're going to advertise a job like this please be specific that Merck is looking to form these reps into robots. The questions you asked me over the phone showed disrespect and when I tried to answer you tried bullshiting your way out of it.

Good Luck to the people who got the jobs or interviews. My experience tells me you're going to need it!

I got this job. Going on a year now. Who did you talk to on the phone. Do you hear voices? Do you see see dead people? This is a great P/T position. Sure there is some Merck BS on emails once in a while but so little it is easy to manage. Sorry you didnt get the job and thanks for the good luck wish. Truth is my lucky day was the day I got this job.

how are the publicis managers overall? realistic expectations for the flex time positions? i've read some posts stating 24 hours/week. others that say 24 calls a week. how does it look in reality?

24 hours a week / no more... / even if your put in more hours......do the math. I heard 30,000

24 hours/wk at $27.50 with total of 1150 per year cap. ($31,680) Bonus potential of around $8k. All of the managers I have talked to are good. Mine is terrific. She works hard to support us with no BS. DMs report to Merck manager. Contract results have been good so extended 2 year. If you need hospitalization, this is not for you. 401k with match after a year. Time is truly flexible and you manage your territory. NO BS business plans to write. No pod meetings. DM provides a host of support with the data. Products are good and detail aids are good. Likely to pick up another drug in the fall. 51 cents/mi ... not that bad. No catering to do and no programs. Average drug experience of the group at launch was 10 years (the managers had all of the best reps from the layoffs to pick from that were interested in flex work). It's not for everyone but it's a good deal. Periodically you are allowed to remove or add HCPs, that helps a lot.

Last Fall we were offered the option to work extra hours. I did and it worked out well for me, because I made extra $$ for Christmas. They may do that again, but even if they don't, the pay here is better than what you would get most places.
