A better allusion would be the Star Trek episode of "Obsession". So, who is Captain Kirk? I, for one, have no doubt that I'm one of the expendable "red shirts" that were corpse fodder for every Star Trek episode.

There is no Captain Kirk here, in my opinion, as creativity, objective critical thinking, decisiveness, and guts are absent at Merck.
