the problem with hand raising is that if they don't pick you, you have now identified yourself who is no longer drinking the company Kool Aid and is not a fully engaged Merckbot...
proceed with caution on this handraising strategy...

You’re right, but I don’t care anymore. Any thing is better than this shitshow.
I totally remember that feeling...Merck will do that to you...Choose your sanity over the dumb drug rep
charade...the money is really not worth it...
go out and learn some real job skills that employers actually value...I learned the hard way after I stayed
at the party too long, and now I am in my late 50's, unemployable, and in a very scary world of hurt with
a bleak future...
No one wants to hire aging ex-drug reps...
Maybe you should have planned better. Out at 58 with 34 years. Could not be happier. I have been investing on my own for 20 years. It made all the difference. I had some nice jobs but I am so glad its over. The last years the Company turned into a paranoid back-stabbing freak show. Rats fighting over the last crumbs of cheese; while the ship was taking on water. Put your excess money in GILD, the best pharma stock out there by far.I totally remember that feeling...Merck will do that to you...Choose your sanity over the dumb drug rep

This is the best advice ever given on CafePharma. Trust me when I tell you that this company doesn't care about you.I raised my hand twice. I was then given a new manager and promptly asked to believe I could do nothing right. I put up with it for two years and then told them to f--k themselves.
Do't raise your hand. Rob these a--holes of every dollar you can, work as little as humanly possible and steal everything that isn't bolted down. Take this opportunity to get a second job and do most of it on company time. Make it a sales job and use the Merck car, too. You'll be very happy you did later on.
