Here's how to fix it:

1. End all DIE ('diversity', 'inclusion', 'equity') initiatives.
2. Promote your best people, not your worst.
3. Terminate your worst people, not your best.
4. Terminate 50% of your middle management -- start with lowest engagement managers.
5. Terminate your deadwood career employees who do nothing but show up decade after decade.
6. Dump businesses that *NEVER* meet their top/bottom lines.
7. End all wokeness garbage.
8. Get rid of Geoff.

#1 won't do much, pretty much every successful company embraces IDE and thrives from it. Not clear why MDT is an exception, but maybe it has to do with #8 (which will be key to any successful turnaround).

I wouldn’t say other companies thrive on it. They do acknowledge these things like recognizing black history month, rainbow colored logos on LinkedIn, etc. but they certainly don’t make them their main priority the way MDT does. MDT spends way too much time focusing on political/social justice issues and not enough on actual business goals. The fact that we have diversity and inclusion metrics in our performance reviews is unheard of.

Not true that most companies thrive from it. Most acknowledge these issues without making them their main focus like MDT does. The fact that MDT employees are measured on diversity and inclusion in performance reviews is unheard of. The company should focus more on hitting revenues and less on social/political issues.

I wish things would have just stayed like they were. Diversity was the downfall of the company. $75 shortly

In case you didn't notice, every Fortune 500 company is sucking the woke dick these days. They don't do it for any ivory tower ethical/moral reasons. They do it because they don't want to get cancelled and see a potential drop in revenues when everyone expresses their mortification and moral outrage with their wallets.

Where large companies are concerned, here's the truth: the top executives don't give two shits about individuals and their feelings, wellbeing, etc. They will do whatever it takes to make their share prices rise.

IDE has nothing to do with "doing the right thing."
It has EVERYTHING to do with profitability.

Sucking the woke dick? Sounds like you’re the one with the little pecker that’s obsessed with the D. Get a grip and clean up your language.

Great job. You showed them by repeating the same language and adding to it. We’ve now met the ironic moral arbitrator on this thread.

Medtronic is doomed because of the extreme views and lack of performance.

Every company has one insecure dick obsessed dude that manages to insert the word into every conversation. Constantly talks about dick size and uses dick jokes to demean women, then turns around and puts them down for their inability to take a joke when they tell him to shut up. Celebrations ensue when he finally gets sued and tossed to HR and the lawyers.

Thrive lol? You don't work with the DIE hires who break expensive instruments in the lab, refuse to do certain things because they say the only do software, or only hardware etc. They know they get away with anything.

DIE will kill this country if we don't get back to results based hiring and stop being so obsessed with equity. We need to treat everyone equal. Period. We dont need to lower standards so much that everyone has an equal outcome.

Can you imagine how Earl Bakken would be treated these days for being a white male? I'm surprised Sally Saba and her cult haven't torn down his statues yet.

Political issues and activism do not belong inside the walls of a corporation.
