Bob got choked up on Dallas. He couldn't talk. I guess he was all emotional and It was sort like him being kicked off of American Idol while singing his last song. I thought the man was a pure fraud from the get go and finally his ego caught up with him. Bob was more passionate about articulating his "made up" competencies then being a passionate high energy charismatic leader sharing the ideas behind product. Mark Timney may be the only leader worth a damn at this company. However if he gets wrapped up in competency bullshit then he will fall like the rest of them.
 


















Bob, like him or not, was one of the first pharma execs to finally stand up and say, "What the industry is doing in the field is not working and its time for a change!" He didn't operate on the follow your fellow execs off the cliff because risk means accountability. Good for him, and we work in a better place because of him.
 






slurp! slurp! wipe your face off...I knew he was a fraud when he stepped away from the microphone in Dallas, because he was all choked up about being so proud of the sales force what a phony...for those of you that don't know is that Bob grew up in the Hampton's with the silver spoon in his bullshit mouth...I'm sure his family had all of the connections for little Bob all the way up to Merck...trust me...he's laughing all the way to the bank...and to stand up and give this big time wrestling fraud a standing ovation for his farewell...all I can say is that you need to look in the mirror and be ashamed of yourself for being a prostitute...oh i better stand up because someone might be looking and I don't want to be the next one fired!

that's bs - bob may have talked a good game but when it came to staffing all he could do was dump more reps into the market for wishfull thinking more share of voice and sales. remember - he is an accountant and can't get beyond the charts and figures and promotion response curves etc - no creativity and no bal^s

I figured that eventually they have figured out that McMahon is a fraud!!! I got bad vibes with the guy first lunch I had with him. He is an egomaniacal asshole! Full of it and deserves what he is going through right now. A lobbyist position in Congress-now tell me Bob how hard is it to kiss someone's ass to keep you job!
 






From one who knows, Bob could hardly advocate for the sales force since he is a finance guy and never did carry a bag or was never a manager. Bob spent more time worrying which cuff links he was going to wear versus considering the fate of the field sales force. Bob has always been out for Bob. He is a legend in his own mind. He thinks he knows everything, so he should be well positioned for his new role in politics.

I wish for a leader at Merck that is a visionary and a true leader. The past decade all we had were people that speak eloquently, scheming, and love themselves way too much. Perhaps we are paying the dues for teaching self esteem to kids growing up and now they have became egotistic and self deluded "leaders".
