I was hired when I was pregnant with abbvie this year and qualified for 4 months 100% paid and I wasn’t there a year. New moms receive 12 weeks, plus 6/8 weeks depending on your delivery type, paid. You have to have I think @10 month of tenure to qualify for an extra 10 weeks unpaid on top of the paid but that’s all you miss out of. No time restrictions to get the paid maternity leave as long as you are a full time employee. I asked my recuriter general questions about their maternity leave and they provided me the AbbVie HR phone number that I could verify their policy.

No time limitations with the company are needed in 2024 for parental leave. “Parental leave is available to employees who are scheduled to work 20 or more hours a week.”

12 weeks paid for parental leave and topped with 6/8 weeks paid leave for short term disability for maternal leave.
