The package is nice, get august bonus, dd if it happens, profit sharing, 6 weeks vacation paid at end of pay continuation. Getting paid through april plus the lump sum vacation pay out after aprils last pay check. Been working on some commission spots making some money. At 53 with 20 years, Ill retire next June and thanks to abbvie for allowing me a full year to develop my next independent job. Ive never looked back over last 6 weeks and get up every day thinking ok what and where am I going today; no bs dm ride alongs, no bs conf calls, no bs meetings, panera bread strategy meetings, etc etc. sure the car hurts but thats fine bought a used bmw to tool around in. Really Met folks, it is coming to an end and the word is that they are going to look for ways to OEC your ass out the door. Its the abbvie/abbott way....take care and dont do huge lunches with 75 people that all have to be logged in, etc etc God how I dont miss that! Good luck there is life after abbvie and pharma, also if you want to sell abbvie stock or abbott stock in 401K plan or liquidate etc do it before, once you are on pay cont you cant touch 401k until it ends and that includes selling or changing anything in plan which sucks big time.. You have to let it ride out. In my case thats a years time.....Good Luck...

Allow me to enlighten you. In very similar boat as you but have been utilizing one big option that you appear to be missing. Have continued to move money all around my 401K plan since being thankfully released end of June. The money is available to move between accounts and have tapped out of the crazy gains realized with both ABT and ABBV.
Either you are missing the boat on this opportunity to continue balancing your account or mine is erroneously working. I got a feeling its on your end. They did lock me out of new contributions but that's it.

continually churning your 401k for "gains" is a fools mission. The costs associated with changes, albeit small, will overwhelm your gains.
