Marketing - What a joke

I am so over hearing from our marketing department lately. They are out of touch with the customer and perceive us in the field as idiots. We have too many "classic marketers" now that have no idea of the industry or customer. Our Bios department is on life support and doubt it can be saved. And note to parasiticide marketers -you are a joke. One is so damn rude and pretentious that the entire field HATES her and the other cannot bother to answer an email to save her life. If it wasn't for us out there selling your brand, you wouldn't have jobs. I relish the day you both get fired but MB is so far out of touch with the customer and the field, that will never happen. It's pathetic to sit through meetings and conference calls, let alone read your emails.

Whoever wrote this is an asshole and a coward, why not say who you are. Marketing drives sales PERIOD!!!! How do you losers think you can walk into any clinic and see doctors ???? Because of the brand that marketing and R and D built. Go take orders like a fast food clerk and leave the thinking to us.

Actually you're wrong and the original thread is 100% accurate. This has been going on for years and getting progressively worse. There is a condescending attitude from marketing to sales. Stop being so defensive.
 






Yeah Marketing is the biggest waist of money in this company...you're kidding yourself if you think your marketing is the reason doctors buy from us. People don't care about your detail pieces, it's the message or spin we put on it that matters.
 












The only thing that might be saving your asses in marketing right now is the fact that the iPods at least grab the docs attention for a few minutes longer. Because the marketing pieces never really do. As soon as they realize it is the same information, just re-packaged.......their attention goes elsewhere. That is where we come in, you know....actually selling something. NO...not just taking an order. Asking for the business or better yet, earning the business (or money)! Put that in your pipe and "think" about it.
 




























































Yes 95% of marketing is a waste of time and money...especially when you're trying to hammer the same damn message with every different marketing piece...doctors don't want to read why Pfizer vaccines are better, or why Revolution does in fact kill flees, or why Rimadyl is "safe" and the one they should choose...they don't care about your stupid initiatives and what middle management perceives as "educating the doctor/client"...stop waisting our time and effort in the field
