New to medical sales and interviewing with companies. Is it required for managers to ride with reps on field days if reps using their own personal vehicles?? Shouldn’t managers be driving their own cars? Coming from an industry where this isn’t recommended for liability reasons. Spoke to a family member who’s an attorney said they advise against it and no company should require if im using my personal car. Is this the norm here and do I just let them know once hired?!

they can’t require you to share your car but it’s a bit of a rapport wrecker to say “it’s nice meeting you but you’re not welcome in my car.” But I don’t like having my mgr in my car either.

I agree. This is a huge liability for whoever is driving. If something happens and your idiot manager is in YOUR car, the other party gonna go after YOU and YOUR idiot manager. Good luck but my manager drives his own car when he comes out and he is fine with this. This company is asking for a lawsuit.
