Manager position-Alabama

Most Managers are idiots at B&L! They dont know squat shit, treat the worker bee like shit and get away with it. They need to go outside of B& L and see how things are done in true pharma world.

Sadly, thats how it is with other companies too. I have been in this industry over 25 years and it has really changed. A good manager is a rarity in this
buisness.

One reason is that upper management will take a bright, aggressive, successful sales person and promote them to manager. These people usually display a little maverick in them. Most hate to do paperwork: expense reports, call reports, inventories, etc. As a manager they are basically "deskbound", having to read and respond to sometimes as much as 100 emails a day. Then they have to cajole their best sales person to get his expense report in that is 2 weeks late because some twit in corporate has complained they haven't received it yet and copied 10 other upper management types. Some would love to "get out" and ride with a sales person just to get some fresh air but are hogtied with reports, projections, reviews, etc. that are basically busy work and don't contribute one ounce to the bottom line. Yeah, the pay may be pretty good but I'll be willing to bet half of them would be much happier back in a sales position so that they don't have to babysit 8-10 other peple who all have some kind of baggage they are carrying around. It takes a unique person to be seen as a good and effective manager. I don't think it's worth it.
