Once management knew they had to fire Rosen due to a Federal Investigation that they believe is at least partly about him and the illegal acts he has done that Dendreon was complicit in, they had to find an unrelated reason to fire him.
Here is a chain of events that in my opinion involves management posting on this board to orchestrate what looks like them firing him due to misrepresentations he made.
On February 16 2012, we saw the following post:
"I have a question. To those on the Dendreon sales team, has Peggy or Rob even said that they were part of the oncology team at Genentech? I heard this a few times recently and find is hard to believe. Rituxan was launched in 1997. Both had left Genentech years prior, and never worked on any of the oncology brands. That is a fact. Please confirm if you heard either of them state this. HR wants to know."
After this post we saw a few posts corroborating that Rosen didn't work on those launches.
Then on February 26, 2012, we saw the following post:
"And Herceptin was launched in US in June 1999. Photos of the launch team exist and neither PF and RR were part of the company. This is ridiculous that they are even claiming to have anything to do with either product. HR will be receiving phone calls from me and others this week. Oh and Varun was fired from Genentech for sexual harrassment as well."
On February 28, 2012 there was a press release indicating a replacement for Rosen had been hired. Obviously this was in the works for at least a few days.
I have no doubt in my mind that at the very least the February 26, 2012 post was Dendreon management posting "proof" in case they need it that they fired Rosen for misrepresenting himself and not other illicit activities that Dendeon allowed Rosen to do and was aware of. All of a sudden someone posts here that they are going to talk to HR about the issue and two days after that post they already had Rosen's replacement.
It is clear to me that Dendreon is covering up things and prosecutors will see right through these shenanigans. In my opinion, for Dendreon to resort to these kind of antics of posting on a bulletin board shows the kind of desperation here.
Dendreon is joined at the hip with Rob Rosen and law enforcement will understand that Dendreon is complicit with everything he did. They knew what he was doing and they allowed it. They refused to lower revenue guidance so they brought on Rosen to do anything possible (legal or not) to get as close to those numbers as possible. Of course the revenue number was always so unachievable that even Rosens illegal activities could not get it within 100 million of low end of phony guidance.
