Is any other company required to do this or are we innovators ? I am sure I will really be loved in my offices now--my opener---SIR/MADAM---before you bite into that snack, please legibly, if possible, print name address and signature to verify.

Many other companies have required a sign-in sheet for lunch for a long time as a way to prove indeed it has happened. Or you are being watched for truthful expense reporting.

You must not have worked past two years. I have ofices that have pre-printed sign in sheets with signatures.

This is getting funnier and funnier by the month and year. What is next- HQ calling the office to see if we are actually there and actually discussing products?

Some managers/HQ people have done that in the past. Usually not a good thing when they started to make calls to verify if you brought lunch and the exact head count.

Where? And what do we do with the sign in sheet after we have them. I get it for AHM program RFMs but for employee hosted? I don't think so. I think you are confused. I know you have made me confused.

READ POLICY # 25! Government Employees only!!! It is the Sunshine Act in 2012 that will put an end to lunches!!

An end to lunches? An end to reps is drawing near. Medicare Part D was the beginning of the end, although Merck's bankrupt research pipeline has us well along that path even before Part D happened. National formularies are coming, people. The industry is spiraling downward. Merck is stumbling more than the others because we're also failing from within.

T-minus 12 months to a 50% layoff here at Merck. T-minus three years to the rest of them going, too. 2014 will be it for all of us.

You are the one who is confused. Sign in sheet for ALL RFMs. Must keep sign in sheet for 3 years. (longer if legal hold) I am going to keep mine with the expense receipts for the RFM.
