LRM

Medical Lead and Sales VP both missed parts of the lrm mtg to attend their kids holiday functions. Probably in poor taste to share that when so many people made plans and had to change and miss their kids holiday functions because Vertex leadership is inept.

They treat the SAL’s / PTAM’s with zero respect and do not have the decency to disclose anything to us. Paying a hospital based sales force on TRX volume with a IC plan worse than a 90’s copier sales company.

Vertex is extremely egocentric! It was a pathetic launch meeting. This meeting was more like a mature product getting its last indication to extend its patent for 12 months. They kept saying to be ready on day one for patients, but everything was rushed, crammed, and force-fitted a week before Christmas. I am so happy the VPs attended their children's event this week; I wish I could have done the same. If this is what it means to be a Vertexian. That may not be a good thing. Top it off with those dismal study results and a stock downturn; but everyone is so EXCITED. We shall see if they have a blockbuster on their hands soon enough. And since we like our quotes: "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get" - Forest Gump

Vertex had better learn how to do pain studies or we’re dead before we ever launch!
Exactly!!! First they include Vicodin in a study (and obviously came out inferior) but now they have a study showing that the drug barely outperformed placebo. Damn!! Completely shot themselves and the entire salesforce in the foot. All because the people at the top don’t understand the pain market.
