BMS grabbed up a bunch of our reps this year giving many salaries that topped $150,000 plus bonus, signing payouts and a ton of stock. Bonus potential at Salix has been good but we have also seen quarters where more than 80% of reps didn’t hit target. At the end of the day, we get paid better than most primary care reps but much less than true specialty reps. It’s bearableIf you have a good manager. But string a couple of weak quarters together and they will put you on a PIP. No matter if you won PC the year before. Bottom line, Salix is a good place holder for veterans between jobs or entry level Pharma job for newbies. We have no R and D and have not replaced products that lost patent. Xifaxan is kind of it. Once that’s gone, so is Salix. My two cents.
