Looks Like No Layoffs

When I first received the invitation to the sales meeting, I didn't take that as any sort of sign because the company can always cancel reservations. However, I just learned of 2 PDI territories that are currently conducting interviews for. What does that tell you?

it tells you nothing. Pharmaceutical companies hire people every day only to announce a layoff within days. They aren’t going to do something that causes employees to flee prematurely like a hiring freeze and it will be business as usual until the mandatory conference call.

I interviewed for a PDI/Novartis job last week!

I know what I’m about to say will fall on deaf ears, but wtf. Everything that is said on here about NVS is true. The excessive never ending training, the micro managing, the shitty bonuses and countless teleconferences/meetings are all part of the daily clusterf*** that is Novartis.

I also believe they will not tell us until the last minute that the contact will be cancelled. Stay classy PDI!!!

I agree with you, I think most others are blind to it. Then you’ll get the people trolling asking why we haven’t left yet. If I don’t get offer I’m waiting on, and contract doesn’t end, I will be eligible to interview for other contracts in January. Thank god, unfortunately contract wise, pdi has the most in my area. Anything will be better than this.

No one cares if you stay, however you don't get to complain if you have put up w/ the NVS BS for 18 months because if you are a complainer you sound silly at this point because basically you like the torture.

Finally, the only way out is to resign and go to the bottom of the list. Many reps have tried to just go to another contract but can't. So don't think there is light at the end of the tunnel because if that were the case everyone on the contract, surely every complainer would be doing it.
