Looking to Break in to Industry

I'm looking to break in to the biopharma industry and wondered if Vertex is a possibility. Background: I have a BS from Notre Dame in Business and several post-grad certificate courses (Dale Carnegie Training, Sales Shogun Cert., Selling for Results, etc.). I have over 10 years experience in selling in various marketplaces - copiers, cars, and most recently I have my own independent Visalus franchise. I've been in the top 10% consistently, with a history of success. I've also been told that I have the drug rep "look." Bottom line = I can do the job.

Could you please recommend how I can catch a break? It's frustrating having skills that you can't use. Also, could you give me a salary range. I don't want to take a step back unless it could lead to long term financial opportunity. I currently make almost six figures with my franchise bonus.

Thanks for your consideration.

You are too educated and qualified to be one of our reps. We only hire drinkers who barely passed mediocre schools.

Good luck!

You sound like a punk. Get lost looooser!

Your best bet is medical device sales, with your background. There are plenty of options out there. Give Covidien careers a try. Or find a headhunter who specializes in medical device.

Good luck!
