I interviewed a few weeks ago for a position and I am thankful "they" decided to move onion a different direction. Money isn't everything and it's not the key to happiness. I have a very successful documented track record and I've been able to do this by not always "closing" the deal! I wasn't aware that the company had so much grumbling and lack of leadership. I was warned by a previous rep but you take that for what's it's worth. During the interview process, they claimed that they are putting programs in place for development, promotion opportunities, and creating a high performing culture. That should of been a red flag, but at the time it appeared to be appealing. I was once told that "I don't wish a career in pharma on my worst enemy". Being in this industry now for a short time I can now see why. Loyalty does not exist and hard work is not appreciated.

On one hand, you are way better off. On the other, they hired a control freak, wacko ,douchbag ,asshole for my new regional manager. What position were you passed over for? If it was a regional manager, wish you were ours. Mallickrodt is a total train wreck,f@$ked up company.

It was for a sales position. Selling Acthar to Neuros. The hiring manager appeared to be a nice guy, but you can tell it was all about the money. Granted, that's what we all work for but in this industry you have to feel some passion for what you're doing. In sales, all you have is your word and reputation. Sometimes you are only as good as your product or your company. Bad company, bad culture, sometimes equals bad results.

honest assessment. if you don't mind controlled chaos and want to roll up your sleeves and get dirty while whole company goes through massive changes and u want to put ur signature on changes and you are getting paid more and hired into bigger job - could be worth it. no joke this will be painful and has risk with high upside. if u want a 9-5 corporate gig wit a job that is clear defined don't join. also - u will be surrounded by newer people somewhere (ba ha ha!) in NJ and old mallinckrodt in saint Louis. Some newer people really good - most saint Louis old mallinckrodt hanging on by thread and not progressive thinking. Just terrible blockers and sabatogers. The change company going through is like trying to overthrow an oppressive fat dumb dictatorship out of saint Louis. this is a big lift kids. if up for it - go for it. if it at all scares u don't come

Exactly! Changes coming and they are looking for tough minded change agents to make it happen especially at HQ level. Good company and once the garbage is OUT...meaning StLO...we are good. Not for weak at heart. Great for change agents.

I have an offer on table for HQ type role.
PLEASE - honest feedback. No place is perfect but I need some feedback on whether to join or not.

just be prepared to deal with the biggest, self entitled douche bags in the industry. If you can handle that then maybe this job is for you. Either way i would go out and invest in a life jacket and a raft because this ship is sinking very very fast

dont come here if you want stuff handed to you. Means u r a loser. If you want to come in and make impact - great. If you are going to whine and not want to deal with imperfection go work at big pharma where u don't need to think for yourself. Non thinkers need not apply

The stock price in April 2015 was above $130, the stock price now struggles to stay above $60. Tell yourself whatever you want but the reality is this is a sinking ship

This is not only MNK, it's the entire biotech sector that was beat down. Look at the values of Biogen, Celegene, Gilead and others since last August. They are all significantly undervalued by 40-50%.
