BTW, I've never changed my position on Palin. I supported her as VP because the position has limited responsibilities and the role fit her skills. Yes, she is naive despite all she's been put through. She has not learned how to estimate or understand the depths of what people will do to silence their opposition and totally underestimates the sheer ugliness in politics.
I still would trust her more than obama because while he has learned and grown politically, there's not a genuine, true statement or thought that ever leaves his mouth; everything is calculated and measured for his personal political gain. Still, Palin's message from Newt was simple - she is too impulsive and impervious to lead a nation. There is a time for blunt and a time for measured speech. Christie has already learned this and is gaining political savvy without selling out being true to who he is. He also gained tons of support for understanding his limitations of experience and that now is not his time.
I would still rather have Palin for a neighbor than obama because what comes out of her mouth is real and I could trust it. That's why she is so dynamite as an organizer and TV pundit. She is a truly amazing woman but she needs to learn her leadership is more effective in rallying the troops instead of handling day to day requirements.
