Lilly Newest Blunder: against DOMA!

Leave it to John Lechleiter to piss off the majority of Lilly employees one more time!

The latest blunder is opposing the Defense Of Marriage Act - REALLY? And to couch it as opposing discrimination - REALLY? So John - are you going to oppose laws that ban sex with horses? Or oppose laws that ban homosexual priests from having sex with kids? Or simply make all Lilly restrooms unisex (since that discriminates a well)?!!

All DOMA does is defend the principle that the word "marriage" will be recognized as between a man and woman - homosexual unions can be called anything else (go for it) - I call it sin! Let's see how tolerant you are of that view leftist wackos.

So go ahead and keep sticking your thumb in the eyes of the majority of our customers. Yes, keep supporting Harry Reid and Obamacare - DISASTER! Continue to have Lilly oppose efforts to curtail illegal (not legal mind you) immigration - STUPID! And now this.

John Lechleiter, you are truly branding Lilly! Keep destroying a once proud and prosperous compnay - built on completely differrent values than yours. You sir are a moron!

Why not include a "rainbow" flag with the rest of the flags at the corporate center?

This company is a complete disaster. What in the hell does taking a stance publicly on these these types of issues have to do with increasing our EPS? It makes completely no sense. He needs to worry about getting the stock price above 40 and not social issues. Good grief!

2011 Proxy Proposals

How interesting--no outside proposals this year on the Proxy ballot!? I guess everything is SO PERFECT and everyone is SO HAPPY with Lil'lie's performance and prospects SO ROSY. Thanks JCL for making Lilie the North Korea of In'dan'aplis. I will be voting AGAINST your pay package. I will be voting AGAINST the puppet board member/hacks up for re-installation. And I will vote with my $$$ against you.

Apparently you haven't heard about the millions John is spending on social networking. Lilly's current stock price would be no surprise to you if you knew how the Lilly leadership team was spending Lilly resources. FIPNET focuses away from drug development and expects other non-Lilly resources to do the work while Lilly management takes the credit and the $$$$. As you can see, FIPNET is the ultimate strategy of FOOLS. The drop from that patent cliff gets higher and higher each day.

Don't forget the kudos for Six Sigma. (It's anything but drug development for Lilly).

I thought FIPNET called for LAB MONKEYS to make all the strategic decisions at Lilly. According to my calculations, if real LAB MONKEYS had been used the Lilly stock price would be at $425 per share. Lilly's current price of under $35 would suggest that BUFFOONS were used instead of the LAB MONKEYS.

Even SEA MONKEYS could have done better. Just add water. They don't even need to be paid. Don't tell the B.O.D. about SEA MONKEYS until you REPLACE the BOARD CHAIRMAN with a SEA MONKEY.

How many SEA MONKEYS can you buy with John's current compensation package?

You only need purchase a starter kit. Feed them and they will multiply. Soon you can educate them in the mysterious ways of Six Sigma, and install them throughout the company from the vice president level all the way to the supervisory level. Wall Street will be impressed. Stock will rocket to new highs.

If you want to know how that will play out, its easy. Just type "3M Problems" into a search engine and read the Business Week article.

Of course, while we are "managing out" the creative employees, it follows that that creative approaches are managed out as well. I was saying this stuff 5 years ago when six sigma was being pushed as Motorola's secret to success - - - but Motorola's stock still hadn't tanked. Motorola is a great example of fantastic hardware (Android better than IPhone, many say) without the more "intangible" software that makes it all useful and friendly.

Does it sound familiar, fellow Lilly-putians? We have a monolithic array of highly efficient business processes, without any original thought. Lilly will fold (at least it's present form) and this kind of toxic management will return again in ten years.

Mark my words - time stamp, 2011....
