Lilly Long Term Strategy

Lay-off 21,000 employees from US, and move to China permanently. Gain the diabetes market share, and then put other divisons in order.

Short of this is a classic suicide by slow death of company when reputation of company is tainted with criminality. People don't forget that with savvy marketing.

Don't forget our leadership's short term strategy which is to get rich quick by fleecing the Lilly shareholders and workforce. John and his cronies will walk away from this train wreck as some of the wealthiest people in all the mid-west, while at the same time leaving thousands jobless. What have John's contributions been to this company that justify a net worth of over $250 million? The company has lost over $60 billion in value, it's pipeline is nothing but talk, and the once family culture of Lilly is now a mad house. Is that really worth $250 million?

You can't beat the Chinese at their own game. They are much smarter at business. They will take John's money, happy and smiling, then abscond with all of the technology. It's the "indigenous innovation" initiative, alive and well in China. As long as they can improve on your products, hey, they don't belong to you anymore, they are Chinese.

Just the facts. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings.

Melamine-enhanced baby and dog food, tainted heparin, toxic fuming drywall, lead and cadmium filled toy paint...their record for quality and integrity already exceeds lil'lie's by FAR. Just the facts...too bad your 'feelings'.

I think my blood is boiling. Someone needs to toss these Good Old Boys out of their ivory tower.

It's true, the place is a nuthouse with so many "systems" in place that nobody really has any control anymore. It has been automated into complete idiocy. A very large cause of this is the mishandling of IT. For example, why can't each employee have just ONE password. NO, twenty passwords are routine for some positions. Just implementing a secure token system would save a billion a year.

There you go management: Free advice. You didn't even have to have Vision Jam to get it

So that when one day Wikileaks publish on their https secured web page the entire contant of the Lilly email index, they can blame on Pvt. Manning. The real reason is that Lilly management is really afraid that someone wi.ll just do that outing the shananighans. Sorry, Barto.

There is no leadership strategy for company survival.

JL and cronies strategies are aimed at maximizing their bonuses and salary before handing over the diabetes business to the chinese.
