This company has gone off the rails. Now they're claiming they can't get people to come to Indianapolis because of Indiana's restrictive abortion law. They've been crying about people not wanting to live in Indianapolis for 40 years.
Sounds more like our current CEO is kissing the asses of the far-left loons.

except it’s not any of that. ricks even said the company has no moral stance on abortion, he just wants his funnel of young women flocking to central Indiana to not be afraid that they might have to take a short drive to get an abortion. I’m only paraphrasing.

Paying for an abortion is a lot cheaper than paying for childbirth, maternity leave, and another clump of cells on the self-funded company insurance. He called it “a business decision” on the government affairs town hall.
 






A lot cheaper than the Lilly funded paid birthing factories of the women have turned Lilly into. Many of the women have had 3-4 children and were paid well over a years salary.

I'm disappointed in the new law, especially in Eric Holcomb who has otherwise done a reasonable job avoiding cultural wedge issues (this coming from a centrist Democrat). But make no mistake, Dave is using this as an excuse to justify what is happening anyway.

Indiana is not where the action is for R&D, over time more and more of it will be done in Boston and San Diego. Different story for manufacturing, but there are plenty of red states bending over backwards with tax breaks and incentives. The company will play the woke card to extract more concessions, as well they should.

very interesting that the same people who favor vaccine mandates say my body my choice when it comes to reproductive rights, same people who favor abortion restrictions say my body my choice when it comes to vaccines. not afraid to say it, I support vaccine mandates and limitations on abortion, both with exceptions

Glad not everyone at this company is a partisan shill and can appreciate some gray area

Those against abortion see baby as a separate being/body with distinct rights. So you can definitely be against vaccine mandates and abortion while still being consistent.
 












Conservatives need not apply. If you aren’t on board with trans kids getting abortions at 8 months to fight the patriarchy get ready to be surrounded by people who hate you for it. I want out.

Noesges was the only person I ever heard publicly say we want people of the left and right to be happy at Lilly. He retired shortly after. Send help.
 






Lily only cares about appearances and lining there pockets! It’s all about Lilly, not the patients and not the employees!! They put employees in danger just to beg for scripts during natural disasters

I really enjoyed working with DN during my time at Lilly.
I was on the job market for a short while about six months ago, and was willing to consider roles at Lilly again, although it would have meant a move back to Indianapolis.

A friend, who is now an "AVP" (silly title inflation) told me that despite my list of accomplishments, publications, etc, I wouldn't get through the hiring process even if I stood head & shoulders above the other candidates.

They aren't hiring to win the war on talent; they're hiring to make Disney+ movies.

Glad they are finally hiring the Best candidate and not based on race. It’s time the changing demographics reflect.
 






Just got off call…. Lilly is not going to using Twitter as part of the social media presence!

Liberal woke cutting off nose to spite their face. Half the country uses Twitter including libs and conservatives!

The company needs to abstain from politics… PLEASE!

I’m sure it’s more because of the lawsuit that’s headed to Twitter over the fake free insulin tweet from a verified account.

but Lilly never wastes an opportunity to spin it into a virtue signal to the recent college grads!

This is the real problem. Gen Z is going to gen Z, but when the company encourages a culture that seeks to destroy 50% of the US voting base (or more in a red state) from the workplace… they’re REALLY going to limit their talent pool in Indiana.
