Lilly cancels Conor Daly sponsorship over 35 year old comments by HIS FATHER??!!

What a bunch of chicken shyte, PC obsessed pansies Eli Lilly is. How is it Conor's fault what his father said 35 years ago? I will never purchase another Lilly product if I can keep from it.

Completely agree. Lilly Diabetes is the main sponsor of the race and Conor Daly has diabetes, so a good choice. Absolute BS for Lilly to cancel the sponsorship based on comments his father made decades ago and his father was not raised in the US so was not aware of the sensitive nature of his comments until someone pointed this out. The local radio sports talk shows spent a lot of time on this topic yesterday and were extremely negative about Lilly's decision to yank the sponsorship.

The DBU and Lilly have made a bad mistake with this decision! Lilly culture is at an all time low. They truly don’t have respect for people. How dare they make decisions like this and not sponsor Conor based on that his father said over 30 years ago! I think what needs to be done is look at the person(s) that made this decision and look at their parents background and fire them based on what their parents, siblings or even children did years ago! Only the Alt Left thinks of these things! This is a new kind of crazy! If Lilly thought this would improve their reputation they are totally WRONG! I think we should boycott Lilly based on what Lilly has done in the past! Remember the $1.5billion fine that was placed by the Justice Department! I guess with Lilly’s logic we boycott Lilly. #boycottLilly!! Let’s face it, Lilly’s culture is horrible, I know SO many people that are waiting a couple more years so they can retire with their big pensions and the HATE working here!

Shockingly stupid decision on Conor Daly’s sponsorship, Lilly. With this logic, you should investigate the backgrounds of every Lilly employee, including executives, to see if any of their family members ever used the N word and fire them immediately if so. As a patient whose insurance has Humalog as preferred (I switched employers and was made to switch from another short acting insulin because of my employers contract with an insurance company). I will be having my Endocrinologist do a PA and I will pay a higher copay rather than financially support an organization that has gone ‘PC gone of the rails’.
Since when do we hold others accountable for the actions of other family members? There wouldn’t be a person in the country that doesn’t have ‘skeletons in the closet’. Eli Lilly- you should be ashamed of your decision...
