So Novo is setting up shop in California to study stem cells and actually CURING Type 1 Diabetes! What has Lilly done? NOTHING! Lilly has never been a true innovator, we have only got “lucky” with a couple of molecules! Making new devices out East isn’t innovation. Our competition is the device companies already established... Medtronic etc. Lilly is only interested in creating a device that keeps patients on our own product (Humalog)! Lilly also has mostly been a follower and not a leader in Diabetes. When will this change? The only way Lilly grows business is through formulary coverage gains. We think we are leaders because of this. We are NOT! Wake up and start innovating!!

Innovation is over-rated. Lilly will beat them all with its huge diversity initiative.
