Hows the work life balance for this position? Do people with families manage well with the traveling? Serious Answers please. I saw a Regen position opening, Wondering if I should pursue the position. Thanks.

If you like working your ass off travelling on over your region with no help from most of the implant reps, this might be the job for you. The quotas are out of control. Implant reps barely get paid on regen so they won't push it for you but you are expected to grow the business by yourself. Only 1 or 2 out of 20 actually hit for the quarter and the majority didn't earn a dime in commission. You can only count on your salary so make sure you get a big one if you do take the job. The comp plan sounds great on paper but when you look at the actual numbers, you can only expect to make money in 2 out of 4 quarters.
i know one of the regen specialists really well and he loves it. but he says he has a cool manager and strong group of sales reps in his region. find out the trends for the last year so you know what shape things are in.

This role used to be fun, enjoyable, and rewarding by providing value to docs and getting paid.
Not this year, 95%quota goals to gain a buck! Really. The reps at Zimmer have been squeezed out of their commission more and more each year.
Quotas are set by management with no real fairness. Good top reps one year become bottom the reps the next year and go on plans or some are being let go. If you desperately need a salary only and want to do alot of traveling and be responsible for a team without their efforts, then the Regen rep role is the way to go - otherwise run like hell from Zimmer Dental.
Middle Management uses scare tactics, bullying to push sales, there is no coaching, helping, and training is what you make of it. You are pretty much thrown out there to sell day1 and expected to grow or they will get rid of you no matter who you are. Do not believe the manager on how much commission is because only a few regen reps have been paid this year, yes only a few. On another subject, the car allowance sucks and comes with a catch, you are tracked by the Runzheimer app. Big brother knows where you are at all times. The allowance and mileage do not cover the use of a private car, maybe covers a modest car payment and gas but insurance, wear tear, and maintenance are out of your pocket and most regen reps can put an average of 25k a year on their own car. Goodluck if you do take this job, you will end up being like the rest of us.

Zimmer has the best regen portfolio in the industry. If you can't sell it, it's your own fault.
what could one expect as a base as a regen rep?

It's the last job you will ever have. You will love it and never want to leave it.
The word is 75% made bonus and 40% over plan last quarter. Take that, naysayers!
LOL. I want what you are smoking!!!
