Life as a Meda Rep in 2016

Can someone throw me a bone and tell me what life is like for you guys now? Is it still runny nose spray and itchy eye drops and an occasional co promotion of some other junk?

I would just love to hear what there possibly is to do for a rep with nothing but me too drugs in their bag these days.

Five years ago there were maybe 4 of my doctors who "needed" to see me aka used samples. Other than that I wasted gas and prayed for 4 signatures a day so nobody would bother me.

Eventually I got sick of not being able to look myself in the mirror and hearing about friends with real jobs. Left here and got myself respect back.

They do more than you'll ever amount to.
Dang. Are you getting a little testy because your US operations were sold and you are getting canned with no package? Did you not care to pursue other opportunities when this was announced last year? How much clearer could this have been? Please give me an example of what the DMs and Directors did to contribute. Game over. Good luck finding another opportunity telling your story. I hope unemployment is decent in your state. Now please move this company board to lost civilizations and shut out the lights.

I doubt it. I don't manage anyone myself now but I deal with margins, gross profit, and actual deliverables so I have trouble seeing how a job whose main duty when I was there entailed telling reps to do more lunches really equates to being more than Ill ever amount to. Who knows, I could be wrong.

Why so defensive in your responses? Maybe you have good drugs now and the approach is run more like a business rather than, "give more samples on every call".

You are getting way too far in the weeds. The people that are left here are losers. They couldn't survive in a real sales role. Look at the people in Texas. The rd, DMs, and reps. They don't have products. They have Aerospan and an OTC runny nose spray. They were just sold and will be laid off within a few weeks. Can't imagine any of the GOBs contributing to another organization. Maybe they will all join a failed training and development group composed of Xtra Meda drop outs.

Please help us out with any additional information. I know they are announcing it this coming week, but does anyone have specifics on timeline yet? When we will have our calls, checkout process, COBRA, turn in cars, etc. Leadership has shown no transparency what so ever.

Great questions, Meda employees provide coverage here by COB Tuesday

LOL.
They didn't hire me, despite over 10 years of great experience and top notch education. It worked out, as I now have a better job.

Just a terribly managed company, with crap products.

Why did you interview here if they are a terribly managed company with crap products?? I can see why it is difficult for you to get a job.

On a serious note, why is it taking so long for them to announce the deal? And how is it possible for them to only give the sales force two weeks of severance? Doesnt seem fair. Yes, I understand that I'm an idiot for not finding another job sooner so please save it.

Nobody cares. If you left meda, good for you! Get a life and move on.

If you still work at meda, you may very soon not be. that is also good.

True, meda is a poorly run company. For slackers with low expectations , it is perfect. The mistake everyone takes is taking this sh$tshow seriously.

:D
