Levels of data for purchase?

Please let me know if there are different data sets for purchase based on accuracy of the data. For example, for weekly sales numbers are there data sets that can be purchased with less projection for a higher cost? Platinum, Gold, Silver....

Thanks!

Accuracy of the data is not what drives the cost, it is the level of detail and which products you are looking for. If you want prescriber level detail on the statin market for 24 months (and you want to see the data by month) you better have a big checkbook. Want weekly data or patient level data, you better have a really large checkbook. In case you haven't figured it out, we are a virtual monopoly and don't have to play nice.

Which is why anyone writing these contracts better include language specific to accuracy of data OR you will be hosed like so many companies doing business with IMS and other third party data companies.

FOR EXAMPLE: if they say they capture a certain % of market they better be delivering on it OR there are $ penalities paid.

All would be SHOCKED by the smoke and mirrors presented to pharma, biotech, and, others who buy into their numbers and DO NOT know what questions to ASK. I'm not saying all BUT my god you would be shocked how many.
