Lets talk Ilaris

Ilaris = upto a one year lease on employment. Sales will SUCK, then given to GenMeds folks. Thanks for your service here's the consellation prize (20wks, a few months of medical insurance, Good Bye).

@above poster...

does not sound to promising...why do you say sales will suck? I know its an orphan drug...but you don't think this will turn into something big?

Stop dreaming!, the ride is over, there's no life after Diovan in Novartis, but there's a whole wide open world out there with its arms stretch waiting for you. Run and start dreaming again! Haleluya!

I saw the expansion positions on the website. Will they be adding more managers and reps to the inflammory franchise? What does the inflammatory franchise sell now? Are they fully staffed?...Ilaris is for CAPS a rare disease however Ilaris awaiting FDA approval for gouty arthritis

Inflammatory disease team being built. These are specialty positions, so comp same as onc or xolair. Phase III data just released, looks very strong. External Analysts calling it a blockbuster. Strong leadership team. I'd bet on this drug and team. Great opportunity if you want to build your own business, own your own territory, and have a lot more opportunity to think than primary care. I hear there are a lot of reps posting for each territory, so must be something to it.

Don't think comp is the same as oncology. If you are currently in PC it is just a lateral move so salary would stay the same. Data looks good but it will be very expensive and coverage may not be great.
The reason many of the reps are posting for these postions is more for security than anything. I hear that they are looking at Reclast reps first even though interviewing others

Maybe comp ties to progressions, not sure. But these are definitely Specialty positions, not primary care.

If you were making lets say $80,000 as a senior sales consultant they you will be making $80,000 but with a different title. Yes lets say you were executive sales consultant you can get leveled again in the specialty titles but it will take a few years and good numbers

It might work in GOUT

BUT - if anyone in management tells you to mention that fact to doctors....document, document.....as you might have a whistleblower case.....it will be an OFF Label promotion.

The key to Ilaris will be an RA indication. Without it, it may end up being another Fanapt. Its a good security move for GM reps or NeuroPsych. If RA indication comes its a game changer. GA is just the beginning.

It may also get some other indications down the road. Look at the studies.
Nothing like Fanapt at all. If I can get the job I will be very happy
