I bought an $89 bottle of wine for my top writer to keep him happy at a program. The tax came out to $101.70. Reviewed the next week.

So I have to ask, was your DM already on your butt about anything and everything?? Sounds like they took advantage of an opportunity to let you go. Is this what you feel?

Dude. Many, many, many, many have done worse than this and not let go. You must have had outstanding issues. They don't fire just for an excessive bottle of wine. Sure, you will get in some trouble, but not fired just for that.

I understand where you are coming from with this post. However you must remember that the reps who actually get it, understand politics, understand what happens here at forest with the horrible DM's and their ineptness is A SMALL % OF FOLKS. MOST FOREST REPS ARE BORDERLINE MONGOLOIDS AND THIS IS THE BEST THEY COULD DO, 52K BASE ENTRY LEVEL NO EXP, USED TO SELL PHONE BOOKS OR CELL PHONES OR MY FAV, THE ENTERPRISE REP OR THE GUY OR GAL WHO CAME FROM "THE SERVICE INDUSTRY".........HAHAH. WHAT A JOKE, THIS CULTURE IS NOT JUST THE DM'S YOU MUST TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE REPS AS WELL TO BE CRITICAL AT THE FAIREST ANGLE. I WOULD GUESS THAT 70-80% OF MY TEAM ARE EX COPIER OR MILITARY GRUNTS WHO ARE THRILLED TO HAVE A JOB, LET ALONE ONE THAT CLAIMS TO GET THEIR "FOOT IN THE DOOR" TO REAL TOP 100 PHARMA IN THE FUTURE..AHAHA...THE JOKE CONTINUES......

this company is sick....i know reps who have paid for tons and tons of lunches and never show up to the lunch ....just to be able to spend their budget........They have been caught and blown in ande NEVER EVER FIRED. They also had other crap going on that could have warranted them being fired but NOPE....they are still there. UNREAL!
they pick and choose who goes...it mostly, i believe will depend on the manager and regional in ther area if you make it thru something like this or not.

I've been asked by my DM to do worse just this summer. If they were going after you before or looking for a fall guy/girl in your territory to justify poor RX performance, this gave them an "opportunity for development."

The decision to put someone on the exit plan is totally determined by how much of the regional Koolaid you're willing to drink - and nothing more. You have to remember that the DM's and RD's at Forest are not competent enough to evaluate sales people based on sales ability because they don't have enough themselves to understand it - therefore, they can only judge someones worth by how much asskissing they can do. It's sad but true!

It is the norm here. 2 of my "pod mates" never and I mean ever show up for lunches, they order the food in the morning after taking the "orders" from the nurse and have it delivered and get the receipt faxed or scanned over to their house or have it mailed from the vendor directly. This has been going on for years, I know my DM has been informed of this but he does not give a rats ass, he is getting paid and could care less is the lunches are being "shadow" dropped for the staff without the rep going to the pointless lunch......sorry to hear that some are getting chopped and shit canned for such minuscule offenses.

yeah...no kidding. we have that too. along with far worse compliance issue mandates..medically speaking..and it comes from the manager down...
 






Management sees what they ere told to or want to see. If you don't have the tendency or personality that fits what they want, you are out. You may be lucky and just be "out" regarding promotional opportunities. However, many are being ousted because once management decides they don't want them, a rep under scrutiny or warning will have everything they do so scrutinized and judged that inevitably they will get fired.
 






I know of two reps who were blown in to compliance for doing lunches and not showing up.....and blown in to their managers and regional director.....and NOTHING happenned to them. even though the compliance hotline said this was a severe serious offense....
so i do not know who decides who stays or goes as there is no clear cut parameter at forest. And then i know of a rep who took home a few dinners that were left over from a dinner program and his ass was canned within weeks.....FAIR> i think not!
 












I called compliance on my DM who continued to push me to sell Bystolic off label. That was 4 months ago. I AM now on probation. What the f*ck gives? Reason? Off label promotion by ME. I've never promoted off label.
