Leaving Quest

For those that have left or know how it works; are commission checks prorated when you leave? I have heard that if you work a full day into the new quarter you will be paid comission for that quarter in full. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks in advance.

You’re paid through the time you worked. If you exit before the qtr, it’s prorated. For each day afterwards..1 day, 10 days...prorated for whatever time after the qtr is up.

Be careful on giving a notice near the end of the qtr.

There have been cases where management have screwed a rep or two that resigned within 2 weeks of the qtr being up and the rep was hurriedly processed out.

So- give your two weeks when the qtr has expired.

Don’t give these pricks the satisfaction!

Quest will try to ruin your name and also threaten to sue you for things you haven’t even done yet. They are horrible people there. No professionalism and oh yeah! Their outsourced security team actually fired a gun at me and is now in jail. Complete with restraining orders on Specialized Security Solutions. They are like a Mafia!

Well you signed a non-compete and all they're doing is making sure you comply.

Non competes are a joke for rank and file (including middle mgmt) not worth the paper they are printed on as many states won’t enforce them. Also, the non compete from quest were so vague that they viewed competing as simply calling on any contact they viewed as a current account, regardless if you were selling the same service. Quest is a complete joke.

If someone’s coming after you, it’s likely your payday loan company or your ex wife looking for child support. Try telling your fantasy story elsewhere, son. This is a professional message board.

For those who are actually employed by us, this is the reality. Non competes are a formality and a nonissue. No one of value ever leaves Quest Diagnostics by choice. Where on earth could anyone find a better opportunity? And we always let the non-performing subpar failures find a home with inferior competitors without issue. Why pay them to be unemployed? Hope this helps.

Thanks for putting that asshat in his place and for correcting the record regarding non competes. You’re spot on. The only people I ever see thinking about them are about to be fired for poor performance and shouldn’t even be in this industry.

Your such a tool but you already know that don't you. You don't even work for quest creeper!

"tool"? LMAO, who says that?

He is not a tool. He is a troubled man in his 40s that that has extreme addictions. His lack of personal relationships causes his additions too flourish. Yes he makes money, yes he purchased a new apartment, he is obviously a functioning addict.
However, these type of situations always end in a tragic way, especially when other
Variables are included.

Yes, he does make a lot of money and he owns several very nice properties. In addition, he also knows that the word "variables" should not have been capitalized in your last sentence. Hope this helps.
