JS does not have Heartitude

Since JS showed up as the COO at SPPI, the company has been poisoned. "Toxic work environment" is how it has been described. I like the term "hostile work environment". Since he was hired in May 2010, the company has tanked in Zevalin sales.

March 13th - 33 Z territories, 4 unfilled; along with 10 contract floater positions, 1 unfilled. March 14th - 13 Zevalin reps and 1 contract rep let go, total territories down to 24 with 2 contract floaters, 3 territories unfilled. They fired reps and replaced some with the contract floaters. The entire Fusilev force is Contract. So, of the 24 Z territories, about 25% are now contract. 100% of Fusilev. See the direction? If you are a Spectrum employed rep, you are much more expensive in terms of salary, benefits, options, grants etc, than a Inventiv Contract rep. So, JS has been reducing costs by going Contract Rep only force, thus the sales force morale is the worst in the industry. In 2011 we had over a 50% organic turnover with reps leaving.

The other terrible decision is the Academic Sales Force. Total failure, has not driven business at all, with the exception of one rep. However, they were JS's baby, and so they were expanded in the March Massacre. Contract Floaters are JS's baby, and were failures, so they were moved over to Z territories. Vast majority of their Contract reps had zero Onc experience or contacts.

JS is the epitomy of the Peter Principle. The shareholders should file a class action lawsuit against the company for having the worst COO in America.

Be careful what you ask for, sometimes the cure is worst than the disease.

With the dropping of the In111 dose, Zevalin sales may be an overall $ decrease 2012 1qtr vs 2011 1qtr. I've heard unit sales were flat. JS is no doubt blaming the reps when RS asks, the reps are terrible, they have a bad attitude, etc, etc, etc. JS is no Harry Truman.

LEAVE..JS is the biggest idiot ever. The guy didn't even know what JCO was and never has interacted with doctors. He was a manager at Teva and was RS's handpicked puppet.

R.G and Ed B. just were yes men to him to gain money and now that Zevalin is tanking, R.G threw Ed under the bus to save his own skin. All three are full of it and can't lead blind men to water.

If you stay, just wait for R.G and J.S. to give you a bunch of BS and never communicate to you what to do or what is going on.

You are bitter and obviously upset - with good reason.... had you been out there selling, along with your other peers - you would have kept your job. Going with a few of the "Spectrum" reps meant that you could be lazy and not work... So as any good manager would do - FIRE the weak, and HIRE people who are HUNGRY to work and do well!!! DUH! If you need a punching bag to make your self feel better about your lack of skills and professionalism, do what you need to do - but know that it ultimately comes down to the rep level and lack of doing WHAT YOU were hired to do. Any good manager would clean house when it starts getting messy.... NOW....I have to get back to my job as I continue to wait on a physician whom I am going to sell to....cuz that is MY JOB and I do it well!

How did those April numbers turn out for the company? Yeah, we'll see how much everyone left is working versus looking for a new job.
