layoffs

Yeah I also heard that from my friend's brother who heard it from the produce manager at the local supermarket. So it should be true since they're locked into this privy info like the Amgen reps who clearly are in the board room of Genentech when decisions are made.

There are currently 200 jobs posted under the Sales & Marketing section of the Genentech Job Search website. Unless you deserve to be on a PIP, there aren't going to be a lot of people losing their jobs this year. Sorry, Troll.

Wait until it is your turn. It is nothing to do with the job it all the BS Managers play. They want to make the decisions talk big but no responsibility blame it on the troll

If management don't PIP and fire people then they will be held accountable for not meeting "their" goals. This way they can blame someone else and show the drastic action they took to correct the "problem". I've seen managers do this over and over again to get promoted. Lame culture.

you mean to tell me if a manager fires a rep who was a "problem" that it gets them promoted to a regional manager?!? WTH?

Is this one of the leadership commitment that is kept hush. So you have dickhead manager who does not like but you are great perform guess what he has fucked your career. When is this company going to catch on. They need a few more law suits maybe they need start firing some manager and director I am sure the company can save some money. Problem is who is looking into the directors and manager salary?

Is English a difficult language for you?

Is English a difficult language for you?

Probably speaks the way he/she types! On the other hand, could have been typing this on their iphone while driving 65 on the highway with a big gulp in one hand, phone in the other, left knee on the wheel, cruise control on and right foot tapping away to some Ricky Martin tune.

You could reduce the field by 50% and still be effective.

This will not happen due to the empire building created by the upper management fools in SF. Enjoy the ride.

Sorry cubicle boy or girl, Troy loves his sales fforce and his empire. Jealous you can't work two days a week for 200k a year. It's Thursday, I have my next three weekend s of four day weekends planned. Troy knows how valuable we are, clearly you bring no value from your cubicle. Too bad you can't join the major leagues for two day work weeks.

Looking forward to adding 300 new PD--1 reps. The empire grows and there is nothing the cubicle group but watch and bitch. Love the summer months and 50 hour work months. Sucks to be a slave to the cubicle. Got the shorts on, hanging out today. Need to Drive the car around to get some mileage money.

Thanks for the great reply.

You are correct. You will have too many reps working Monday to Thursday from 10 to 2 or 3. Good luck to the overpaid reps fighting in a competitive marketplace with the PDL launch. I do not believe Gene reps are good selling in a crowded marketplace. Per you post, you are too busy planning your long weekend verses working at your job. I doubt the docs or nurses even know you exist.

Let me know how you are doing after launch when you are 3rd in the marketplace and the sales directors are putting heat on the managers to the reps why the numbers are not good.

I appreciate your excellent post. This post provides rational for the consultant companies who work with Troy why he should reduced the field force. Many sales VP's at Gene have come and gone.

Keep up with good work.

Keep blowing smoke up our ass. Troy loves his empire. Our PD-L1 product will be superior and Troy will pay out each rep about 100k in bonus the first year. The oncologist will open the door and let us in with no problem. Cha Ching!! The money pit rolls on with unlimited access to the ATM. Keep crying, we continue to laugh to the bank. Sucks to be you.

VPs come and go. That is reality.

Thanks for your enlightening post. I think you need to put down the pipe on your expectations on the PDL1 launch. You are entering into a competitive marketplace with competitors who are used to competition in the marketplace. They will eat your lunch that your bring to your doctor’s office!

I do not think you pharma rep education is smart enough to read the quarterly earnings reports for your parent company. Q12015 was not a robust quarter your parent company. Clinical data for pivotal trials did not hit endpoints. We are all accountable. There will be repercussions.

I doubt Troy has any pull or impact with the Swiss management and their financial decisions. If anything the Swiss leadership should show Troy the door for poor allocation of resources.

The best of luck with your 100k bonus for a product launch. I think I may have awakened you from your pharma wet dream. If you think you can sell go work in the med device business. Let me know what happens when you switch from the catering business into actually seeing and selling a product to the doctor.

It’s great to be me. Can you please bring me a tall Starbucks latte when you visit me office on Friday. I will not see you but I still want the coffee. Thanks again for all of your hard work.

Why would I waste my time bringing you coffee. I just got a new Porsche and many of my docs are joining me for a spin in it. If I am going to bring you coffee, I will provide the cream.

Dude, I've made 250k in bonus over the last three years. 100k on PD-L1 will be a piece of cake, maybe even 125k. It will be like printing money in the basement. The Swiss love Troy and his empire loves him. We can raise prices when we want and charge what we want. No limits. 100k in bonus average will be a slam dunk. Sit in your office for 10 hours. 10-2, have an occasional lunch and party. What clinical data are you talking about? We rock. The last six months of the year will be a printing press of money. Come join the party. 100k bonus for a 16 hour work week is awesome. Troy rocks! The work optional environment is great!!!!

Thanks for your message. Enjoy the party and ride in the Porsche. I hope you make many fake doc calls with your car.

I wonder how many cancer patients had to sacrifice food or the high price of drugs to help pay for your car.
