More layoffs in 2014 or are they going to get employees on the PIP? So the company does not have to pay out.
If management don't PIP and fire people then they will be held accountable for not meeting "their" goals. This way they can blame someone else and show the drastic action they took to correct the "problem". I've seen managers do this over and over again to get promoted. Lame culture.
you mean to tell me if a manager fires a rep who was a "problem" that it gets them promoted to a regional manager?!? WTH?
Is this one of the leadership commitment that is kept hush. So you have dickhead manager who does not like but you are great perform guess what he has fucked your career. When is this company going to catch on. They need a few more law suits maybe they need start firing some manager and director I am sure the company can save some money. Problem is who is looking into the directors and manager salary?
Is English a difficult language for you?
You could reduce the field by 50% and still be effective.
This will not happen due to the empire building created by the upper management fools in SF. Enjoy the ride.
Thanks for the great reply.
You are correct. You will have too many reps working Monday to Thursday from 10 to 2 or 3. Good luck to the overpaid reps fighting in a competitive marketplace with the PDL launch. I do not believe Gene reps are good selling in a crowded marketplace. Per you post, you are too busy planning your long weekend verses working at your job. I doubt the docs or nurses even know you exist.
Let me know how you are doing after launch when you are 3rd in the marketplace and the sales directors are putting heat on the managers to the reps why the numbers are not good.
I appreciate your excellent post. This post provides rational for the consultant companies who work with Troy why he should reduced the field force. Many sales VP's at Gene have come and gone.
Keep blowing smoke up our ass. Troy loves his empire. Our PD-L1 product will be superior and Troy will pay out each rep about 100k in bonus the first year. The oncologist will open the door and let us in with no problem. Cha Ching!! The money pit rolls on with unlimited access to the ATM. Keep crying, we continue to laugh to the bank. Sucks to be you.
VPs come and go. That is reality.
Thanks for your enlightening post. I think you need to put down the pipe on your expectations on the PDL1 launch. You are entering into a competitive marketplace with competitors who are used to competition in the marketplace. They will eat your lunch that your bring to your doctor’s office!
I do not think you pharma rep education is smart enough to read the quarterly earnings reports for your parent company. Q12015 was not a robust quarter your parent company. Clinical data for pivotal trials did not hit endpoints. We are all accountable. There will be repercussions.
I doubt Troy has any pull or impact with the Swiss management and their financial decisions. If anything the Swiss leadership should show Troy the door for poor allocation of resources.
The best of luck with your 100k bonus for a product launch. I think I may have awakened you from your pharma wet dream. If you think you can sell go work in the med device business. Let me know what happens when you switch from the catering business into actually selling and seeing the doctor.
It’s great to be me. Can you please bring me a tall Starbucks latte when you visit me office on Friday. I will not see you but I still want the coffee. Thanks again for all of your hard work.
