Layoffs- Valeant Number 4 in 2013

Wow! I am in awe of you and how many articles you find that give the same information! It is so fun to read your posts day after day-all of them about Valeant laying people off.

Bausch was top heavy-to an extreme. Bausch has nothing new & novel and, in fact, out in the marketplace has always been considered a "me too" or branded generic company... With drugs, contacts, and surgical. When product development can not bring NEW to the market they are not needed. When a company is bought for the last breath of air -all the personnel is not needed. Valeant does not develop new products. They buy (usually struggling) companies with some name recognition, lean them down and make money. They are not a BABYSITTING service like the previous owner.

Sales Quotas went up! Imagine that! It's a "for profit" company! If you worked anywhere else you would have been cut long ago! If you worked anywhere else, quotas would go up 20% year over year and those that dont perform get cut.

You have done nothing but post articles and complain about how Valeant does business. If you spent as much time on something positive in your life-or in making a difference in the world you might be somewhere by now. When your whole life revolves around BLAME and NEGATIVITY the rest of the world begins to disregard you. Your purpose is diluted by your angry attitude.

I am just one more person in a VERY LONG LINE of people on this board saying give it a rest or go post on the Valeant thread. We are Bausch + Lomb! We are trying to move forward in the best possible way. We are trying to remain the family, even though we have experienced loss.

YOU are trying to hold us back. Make us as miserable as you are. Its not working!

GO POST ON THE VALEANT THREAD-let us heal and move forward in our lives and careers.

~from a concerned employee. Not in management. Not in HR. Not not a phycologist. An employee who is tired of your rants that have been going on for nearly a year, you sad little person.

The first posting has no negativity to it at all. It is just a post comparing the number of layoffs of ten Pharma companies. Very helpful for people comparing their jobs to other companies or for those considering a job change.

Sorry you personally do not like the post but others might find it useful. If you do not like the posts on Pharma Cafe talk to the Pharma Cafe sensors and ask them to delete any post that has the word layoff in it.

Thank you! Agree!

Yes, please no more negativity....lets pretend that everything in Valeant is wonderful...great Management...Pearson is truly wonderful person who cares about eveyone else so much...
Bausch before him was nothing..(yet its value trebled in only 5 years?)
It gave the world so many new products yet Valeant , which gives the world nothing, is so much better to work for...
Keep pretending...everyone who could actually do anything got out months ago...the rest of you who stayed are sad and desperate...
And now you dont want anyone to tell you how bad you really know it is...please only tell us how great things are under Valeant...and maybe we might be stupid enough to believe that....
Get real...its a disaster and you are living in the wreckage...

So you support Valeant's business model. You are also very NEGATIVE about the quality of B+L current product line. You are also hyper-sensitive when ever there is any post questioning Valeant's business model or informs people about the details of layoffs or other structural changes with in the company.

May I commend you on your loyalty to Valeant and their business model. You should change your post from anonymous to your actual name as I am sure your diligence in stamping out all comments you and Valeant don't agree with would be greatly rewarded by Valeant management.
