Layoffs expanding!!!

Of course it is a weekly thing.. It's getting real here at Zogenix.. I'm guessing there is not going to be a copromote so we should all start packing our bags and head towards the exit!

The lack of class in the people posting is a perfect example of the class of some people hired in February to promote Zohydro. Zogenix wasn't on cafe pharma until the past year, and it was better off that way. This message board should be for people to speculate, yes, and also ask questions and convey information, but seriously--is it really necessary to be offensive and use profanity and sling mud just to get your opinion across. This was a great company before the expansion. A variety of things have gone awry since then and we can all speculate until the cows come home on why and who is responsible. But there are people losing their jobs here and probably more to come. Have some sensitivity. We all have a choice--stay here and ride this out--for however long it lasts, or join another company. Pointing fingers and complaining do no one any good.

these are not people working for the industry. these are paid shills that post this stuff. they are everywhere, from yahoo boards to twitter, wherever they can post anonymously. there is a large interest from a few big pharmas to let Zogenix rot - currently they are succeeding, give it a couple of more months...most of them will be gone..

Damn, you guys fell for all that stock option and high salary crap, didn't you? Look, when a company offers you too much it's because they are concerned they have a dud to sell. That way if they are wrong and the product sells, they gladly give you the money, but when the truth finally comes out, you are out the door with nothing. So then they started hiring and it was nothing but bad press, they threw BS stock options out there (that they knew they'd never have to pay cause it was desperation time) to get people to come on board. Then they hired managers and reps with ZERO pain experience. How stupid is that? Managers with no pain experience? So now it's a big cluster f%#k! Where are MS and DW now? Bet they get out with a golden umbrella. Anyway, do like I do and play the stock. When it's this low, buy at $1.25 and sell at $1,75. Do it over and over as it jumps all around being so low. Can make a buck or two. Good luck!

Not really sure why people sound so bitter on this board, you all were warned about what you were getting into. You all ignored the warnings in February but you jumped at the carrot anyway. Point your finger at the person in the mirror when you scream about losing your employment. You took a gamble and you lost, stop whining, take your losses, and move on. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is; and this was too good to be true. You have only yourselves to blame because you all let yourselves be taken advantage of. Learn from your mistake and don't do it again. Hopefully this will be a mistake you won't repeat twice. The sooner you accept the truth and start fixing the problem you all made for yourselves, the better you will be. Chin up, dummies!

Use a question mark and don't capitalize when not needed assfuck!

Thanks for the grammatical corrections, Unemployed...just sayin. Don't be so bitter, it was your decision to gamble and you lost. You will stomp your sorry little feet around for a few weeks, collect your unemployment, and find another job. If you have learned from this mistake, you won't take a losing-end job next time. Ta ta...

I interviewed with this company and I knew when the regional couldn't give me answers to my questions that I wouldn't accept this job. Even though I needed a job, I waited on a better opportunity and it's paying off big time. I'm sorry you all are going through all of this stress. Jobs are starting to come back so keep looking!! By the way, is the short regional still with this company? He is a freaking joke. He has a short ego issue and I wonder who he sucked of to get his position??

upper management is clueless

Look. I feel for you guys. But once you license this puppy and own it, you've gotta do something with it. What would you have done with Zohydro? Kill it before it's launched? (Company dies right away). Launch it and hope for the best.? (Company dies later. I'd pick the latter)

Given what you had, how would YOU have worked it differently with managed care? Talk is cheap but I don't see how much leverage management had. The market doesn't want a branded hydrocodone. You either forge ahead and pray or do like Archimedes and sell the US rights to their dog fentanyl for $3 mil. (Yes, that's right. $3 mil!. In other words, complete and abject surrender.)

yes you kill it. Or you launch with team you had. You don't go recruit people away from career positions without a better corporate effort.
Hope for the best? Zogenix took people from stable positions and an element of trust from salesperson to corporation was taken advantage of. Only once inside could any salesperson see what they had done to themselves. Dallas, Atlanta? Red carpet and a total fraud.
I bet senior leadership hates the CP board. Too much truth escapes?

This company dies before summer. Feels! Don't fail me now!
