Layoffs are comming in 2014

The above post is dead on! The sales numbers don't support the head count in all areas! Has Pradaxa cracked 85%?? They are putting all their eggs in these drug hopefuls in 2014, they better be right with no delays. Last years realignment with bloated geoteams was so stupid. Here's an idea lets lay people off then realign using a business model that didn't work ten years ago on the chance we might get all these products plus new indications, what?? It's unreal how low morale is! We are all worried about our jobs but I think the writing is on the wall for BI as well as the entire industry! My solution if I were running the show would be minimal field reps in areas with low to no access and give them large territories, inside sales reps trying to speak with docs via the phone or web. They can also handle sample requests. There will always be a need for an outside rep but a lot less! I think that is the future of Pharma, just sayin'!

Correct ! Think people, now I know you are intelligent!! It will happen sooner or later. Access is getting worse. And don't forget we have CSC's !!! They are the chosen ones. Good luck

You're an idiot. The model of having sales people call on phones is the most lame-brain idea that went the way of the dinosaur years ago. Do you honestly think a Doc will willingly step outside a patient room to take a "sales" call. Ridiculous. Bloated territories???? Go look at Merck, Lilly, Jansen. There was a stupid BI realignment last year to be sure. But we are running thin promoting our in-line portfolio as is. So cutting back even more makes little to no sense. You arm-chair ignoramuses need to give it a rest, you don't know how to run a business and yet you think coming on an anonymous website and giving stupid advice that really makes no sense is golden?? If you knew how to run a business you wouldn't be in Pharma. Dumbass.

I know because at one time you were in Pharama, washed out and now can't get back in you think saying doom and gloom will make ... ehem ... feel better. But if you go on everybody's CP blog site you find this same rant. Give it a rest pedro.
 




I work in the home office, sadly I just found out layoffs will be August 1st. Sorry to be the one to bear the bad news, but you will all soldier on in a different industry. They will ask all of you to stay home the day before and wait for a phone call. Right now they are putting a great face on it but the ship was set on shore by Ingeldime home office last week. So sorry for the loss you will alll have to endure. Best of luck.
