Layoff

You really believe they would want to pay for training new people? What a load of bullshit that is. They will hire people back but only the most valued and productive.

keep holding out false hope for a recovery, this thing is on life support until george turns out the lights and files for bankruptcy.

Even if George finds another source of funding(although no bank is as big of a sucker for George's continuous excuses) it won't matter the end is in sight. Between the Medicare charges/lawsuit (and every current and former employee knows there could be a lot more forthcoming fraud revelations) the market will be using better/insurance easy products by the supposed time when sales staff can return to service facilities. The market place will no longer have interest in this problematic company with average at best products and service.

The most likely scenario considering the potential fine DSI will have to pay, is that another company will come in & buy DSI's assets (inventory). Depending on that company's situation, they may hire former DSI reps back or utilize an existing sales force they already have. If I were just laid off by DSI, I'd be looking for a new job, STAT.

Don't be surprised if that other company turns out to be a Hepburn family member.
