I herd from Belinda Camp that lay-offs will start May 1 2012. Managers will get a severence up to 8 months and reps will get between 3-5months depending how well you have done. The managers all know this info already. Dont let them tell you different. Start your engine.

I call BS! Yes some bottom feeders will probably be let go for lack of performance but they are not going to get rid of masses to replace with the off label promoting non pharma complying ista reps just because. You're a moron.

MORON? YOU are the moron. You honestly think THIS management cares about off label selling, pharma compliance or ethics in general. Thats a negative you fool. This management cares only about money and sales. And YES. I think this merger could be a 50/50 split of the two sales force. The people who will keep their jobs are the people with the strongest surgical relationships and business. Surgical is where volumes and prestige are found. WP STILL wants rid of this dinosaur and the best way to pull in a sucker to buy it is with sales and a strong presence in the surgical marketplace.

Fact is. ISTA has good surgical marketplace presence because of Bromaday and many of them will keep theit jobs - even over BL reps. If you have struggled in gaining surgical account business at BL you had better be looking.

You are correct. At the HR meeting this week it was clear that priority is being given to ISTA personnel as aside from being cheaper, they tend to perform more aggressively. The silver lining is that the masses that will be let go will get some kind of severance whereas it is thought when WP does pull the plug on this new entity, nothing will be doled out as it should happen via bankruptcy proceedings.
 












I hear they are going to fire all B+L reps and just bring in the Ista reps. You heard it hear 1st. We were actually buying their awesome sales force. Their drugs were secondary.
