Friday the 4th is the last day of work for almost 400 colleagues. Congrats to those who got a sweet retirement exit, good luck to all who are still looking for placement or a new start.
Lol snowflake, you’re next. I’ll be quite comfy making more money not working.sucks to be you
Good for you. I’m glad that there is life after Pfizer. Kudos for landing something in this environment.Yes tomorrow is my last day, and they’ve already arranged to collect my car in the morning. But I start my new job in January for more pay, will still get my severance, and get to enjoy having December off. It sucked to get laid off but Pfizer is treating me well and I came out ahead. I wish everyone well. For those who are still looking, don’t give up, and at least the 60 day warn period pay and severance will hold you over. Good luck everyone.

Probably depends on tanezemabI think Team 1 is next. You don't need 7 people selling Cologuard.

Oh, do you mean team 1 will ride coattails on team 2, and contribute zero ?Team 2? Hmmm how about we combine team 1 and 2 so we can legitimately earn our keep? Most team 1 reps especially the STMs haven't done anything since Lyrica went LOE. You all jumped on everyone elses VCCs to get credit. I find it comical that an STM is a promoted role. There are tools, and then there are tools. They've been enjoying a higher salary and being paid to check boxes. T-mab? good luck with that one.

When Lyrica went generic, there should have been a huge reduction in force. It happened to the Lipitor team. What makes the former Lyrica team so special? They do not earn their keep. There must be some influential middle managers that have enough power to keep it hanging on. Disgusting.

Yes. This is absolutely accurate. Do these people in the hidden management positions hold some kind of blackmail on the company? They are stealing their paychecks. Get them out of there. If one field rep is cut, they should eliminate at least one of these managers. How about we start looking at middle management. Did you ever look at how many managers, directors and whatever this company has?????? Give me a break, if you think the sales people have it easy, these guys collect HUGE COMPENSATION, and barely work. There are so many obscure management positions that they far outnumber the field force. There is some kind blind loyalty that allows these people to continue to exist without scrutiny. We need a shareholder revolt!!!!!!!!! This company can save tons of money by eliminating needless management positions and I am not talking about field managers. They're a waste too but not as wasteful as all these other people!!!!!!
Kind of like when there’s a regional manager and a regional business director? There are much too many managers. This includes DM’s, KAM’s, RM’s, etc etc etc
District managers have never done anything but babysit. And keep the lawyers happy.10 people on a team is TINY. It should be 40-50 reps reporting to one DM.
All basically true. The team 3 entire cut was a leak one to avoid any potential discrimination lawsuit issues. It was all or none. And realistically it never should have survived Lyrica LOE. The fact is the sales organization is an empire, and the emperors have fought hard over the years to build and sustain the size of the empire. Say what you want, but Carl was very effective as an emperor in doing just that. Sales no longer has an advocate that is highly connected to the top brass. There was a time when top sales performance was linked to upward mobility but it is much less so now which is tacit admission that sales reporting( and quota setting) is highly variable in the ability to identify true top performers.Team 3 should have never existed. Post Lyrica the cuts should have been made. There must be something to the middle management having some pull for self preservation. Interesting that team 3 upper management survived. A word to the wise. If a field sales rep is where you want to stay (probably the best gig for the money and effort out there) stay future focused. If your key brand is going LOE in the next year , jump to one that has more longevity. This is becoming an oncology company. Just look at the 25 by 25. Check all the boxes. Report exactly what they want to see. I don’t think winning contests carries all that much weight if you want to move up the organization. Several hall of farmers were team 3. In fact if you want to get promoted for some crazy reason, don’t strive to win hall of fame. You will be too good as a rep to lose in the field.
