The Food and Drug Administration called on doctors to scale back their dosing of certain anemia drugs in kidney patients—especially those on dialysis—potentially affecting a multibillion-dollar-a-year market for Amgen Inc.
Amgen's drugs Epogen and Aranesp are widely used to treat patients undergoing dialysis, but the FDA said evidence has accumulated that the drugs carry increased risk of heart attack, stroke and other cardiac events if the doses are too ...
The scary thing is that corporate will still want us to increase marketshare by 25 percent. They don't care that Aranesp can be very deadly to patients, especially whe given at high doses. They truly believe it is still safe and good thing the FDA doesnt listen to the Amgen Koolaide drinkers who actually believe it is still safe. Very scary stuff!
This goes back to the greed and arrogance of KS, RP, DF and crew. As KS said when he took the reigns, "fuck the patients, we're here to make money. Period."
According to recent rulings Amgen thinks they can tell the FEDs how to run things. I have a feeling the government isn't going be drinking Koolaide or putting up with their arrogance. Especially now that executives are possibly facing jail sentences even if they do not have direct knowledge of wrongdoings.
