We would just like to say a fond farewell to 30 plus great employees who worked in the Labcorp, Tucker Ga, billing department. Tomorrow, 2/25/2011 is the ENTIRE DEPARTMENT LAST DAY. No one took the offer to move to BURLINGTON! You have been a great group to work with over the last 10 years and everyone in the State of Georgia would like to wish you well on your new adventures. Thanks

Same for the Raritan Billing folks who will all be gone in August. All the best to ALL of you.

Shows how little LCA thinks of their employees. Someone decided that they want a NC tax break, so they laid off several hundred people. Not giving a damn about about these people and what they did for LCA.

Next year, will happen to lab also. Burlington had built a new building to hire cheapo undocumenteds to do billing, now a new large lab building is being built in Burlington now.
See it on the web site.
What do you think it will be filled with?
Tests will be centralized in Burlington, laying off lab people this time next year.

This is just the start of a long wanted policy by management to centralize all functions in Burlington. The next few years, head count outside of Burlington will be heavily reduced.

Sorry, that won't happen. Will affect turn around time too much. It's hard enough keeping clients happy with our current tat, wouldn't be able to keep any if we shipped all testing to Burlington. Remember when IGP first came out and the only place you could have it performed was Burlington?? We lost quite a bit of pap business over that. Do you hear all of the complaints about current turn around time on drug screens?? I can see them moving the administrative jobs to Burlington, but I doubt very seriously any additional lab work will be moving there.

the unfortunate truth is eventually all the billing centers will be consolidated into one main location. Labcorp is working on a new system that will take a while to get in place but once it is up and running they will begin to move all the billing departments to one central manageable location where everyone will be doing things the same way and it will be more controllable.

The labs will not really be affected, unless you have acquisitions that have lab sites in the same location as another Labcorb lab, then there will be consolidation but only if the labs provide the same service. you really wouldn’t merge a reproduction lab with an oncology lab.

i give it 3-5 years before labcorp consolidates all their billing centers into one central location.

this has been planned for many years an Burlington wants to congtrol everything !!! Get ready as this was done many years ago as well!!! Then back to the divisions !! Clients will be very upset !!! Things in Burl are not handled like the divisions !!!
