Labcorp buying Solstas?

I work for Solstas and is wondering if you all found out anything. Some movement is coming from Knoxville, TN.

Any info would help. I almost would be happier if LCA purchased us and fired all our croney infested leadership team.

Are the exes going to attempt to come back now since Solstas let them go? We'll have to see who has the best negotiating skills and who falls for it. Should be interesting.

Show the link that does not allow the purchase.

BTW, the ones that were let go were not selling. That happens at every lab. LabCorp and Quest are getting ready to do the same thing.

Don't be naive

How long have they been "not selling"?

Some of those reps have been on board for years and have a track record of consistent success. All of the sudden 20 of them aren't producing? All at the same time?

A normal sales organization will manage out non producers on an ongoing basis through PIP's. If you've got to let 20 go at once then that is just pizz poor management, plain and simple.

Between the 6 month sales hiring freeze, attrition from so many reps leaving recently and this massive layoff, is Solstas at about 50% of the sales team they had a year ago?

It's a sinking ship. Watch the rats scurry!

Labcorp deserves this dung hole but I still hope Sonic picks up this stinker!

Less than 50%. Ex Solstas employee here and if you want to scoop up some accounts I'm sure some reps will be more than happy to help out. Karma is a bitch.

They cut our 401k and now are bringing it back (perhaps to go public) but for a whole year screwed us. I think any lab that purchases Solstas will have to do a massive clean up in management. All dumb jocks and cronies that circle jerk each other and act like running the company is some funny SNL skit.

I'll give them all my account for a few bucks on the side

Worked for LabCrap for many years. Even if you buy Solstas, I will find a lab and continue to take your business. Just wait till Quest takes the BCBS Contract in a year or so. Down the toilet you go as you should.

Probably a good move by Labcrap, but it still doesn't address the fundamental problem with this place. Internal employees don't give a hoot if they help reps gain business, and nobody holds anyone accountable for anything.

How about the run around one gets when calling THEIR OWN COMPANY? How easy is it to make changes to accounts so they actually receive their reports? Give em' Beacon, that will solve the problem. Just kidding, Beacon fucking sucks and the account will only find that out once they spend an hour on the phone with 6 different support centers trying to get logged in. Seriously, how many of you dread having to call Labcorp (keep in mind, you are calling "co-workers"), it is such a headache, no wonder they get any new business.

The great news that I want everyone to share with their accounts is that all LCA owned labs (Litholink, Dianon, IO/IG, Bendiner, US Labs, Esoterix) will now report through Beacon, therefore eliminating all redundant reporting methods. Even better news is that all of these labs are using different platforms and IT teams- good fucking luck getting your next new account set up properly, better set an expectation up front that the next few weeks are going to be frustrating. There is one iota of good news: even when you have a rep who knows what they are doing, it won't matter because their co-workers on the inside don't give a fuck.

This place is so massive that on the inside people think business is easy to get, therefore any help needed to close an account is hard to find (or non-existent). You will be doing the job of the sales rep who is making lots of promises that aren't going to be kept, then you have to go back to the docs and make excuses for why things happened the way that they did and beg for a second chance. Your only hope is that this takes 6 months and by then you may have called them in and kept your boss off your butt for another month.
