B+L should learn from this story. If you wait to long to make a significant move within your organization you just slowly wither away.

B+L is making the same mistakes. Slow insignificant changes. Not going to work in today's world. If B+L keeps on the same pace it will look like Kodak in a few years.

What do you mean? From the inside B+L looks a lot like Kodak already. There are lots of ex-Kodak employees at B+L who enjoy nothing more than working the "Kodak way" - 8 hour days, no more, no less, multiple coffee breaks, chats in the hallway bitching about work or the Bills, long lunches, etc.

Only difference is since B+l is a private company it has been dressed in (fairly) nice clothing. But there is nothing but a washed-up tramp hiding underneath.

Amen Brother! Until we can find other employment we must hope that they don't shut us down the same. My worry is that this thing too goes BK and then they can shove virtually anyone off without severance. Watch for what is getting transferred for us by WP; the nails in the coffin will be when they start transferring a lot of debt on board to scuttle this baby.
