Kindred

Good job if you like to hustle. What is your background? They are looking for nurses who are burnt out of nursing and would like to do something else. The problem is that nurses aren't very good sales reps and sales reps don't have nusing experience. Hence, the major turnover in the job. Maybe you'll be on of the few that can figure out how to do the job, there's limited training.....all trial by fire.

Good luck

Salary 65-85k based on experience.....some room for bonus...but you'll never hit it

I worked with Kindred as a clinical liaison. This position demands energy and productivity for continued referrals and admits. While LTACs were the direction in the past, purchasing Rehab Care is the newest direction with Kindred. Some of the original low producing revenue LTACs were sold to Vibra. There is a high turnover rate of Liaisons and business managers. The administrators can set the tone for management and it can be good or bruttal depending on each of their management styles. Pay ranges depending on experience but you do get call pay too. Insurance and other benefits are decent. You best have thick skin to handle the stress tho.

Why is the turnover so high? I can understand the liaisons might wash out if not up to the pressure, but you would think the managers would try to maintain some stability. How can any company be successful if everyone is always new and not well versed in their roles? Would nurses be better suited in these roles or pharma reps?

The turnover is high because of the market growth demands year over year. It's not uncommon for a rep to do really well for the first year or two until they capture the most market share possible, all the while, additional growth is always expected, even when the market saturated. Eventually the pressure of higher numbers drive people away, and managers will hirer someone with perceived better relationships with doctors and facilities. I've been in the industry for over 8 years. I've seen dozens of reps come and go and have really only survived myself thanks to timely job changes while working around non-competition agreements. When they hire you, their buying your relationships, not your sales skills. No more, no less.

Salary in the mid 60s. Pretty good bonus structure. However, every time I make my numbers consistently, they raise them. My new VP just increased my numbers by 88%. Soooo...
The feeling is VERY different from Gentiva, who is now owned by Kindred.

Kindred sucks...atleast my experience with the fl division sucked. Biggest bunch of backstabbers I've ever encountered. Horrible HR nightmare work environment, pensacola office specifically. Run away from this company. Seriously, do not work for the dark Knight.
