Ken Frazier. SJW

An African-American lawyer playing politics. What would you expect?
Maybe if Trump started crying when he denounced the violence, it may have meant more to the CEO snowflake.

So he uses a personal reason to finally quit Trump? The fact that Trump is a deplorable human on this Earth was okay just so long as nothing he did affected KF's demographic? Too little too late. I lost all respect for KF quite a while back and taking every photo op he could to smile next to POTUS was a bad move. He's not as smart as he thinks he is.

SO Ken quit the presidents CEO group over his unhappiness with statements over weekend. Thoughts?

I think Ken must have resigned by letter through the US Postal Service, since Merck's email is unreliable after Petya. More time to lower drug prices? Maybe Ken will have more time to work with his IT department to plug the holes in the corporate firewall...

Great cannot wait to hear KF' s sermon at our next EBB. KF' s stance will gain the attention of media for a day and then disappear. Frazier has now put a huge target on Merck, the "Donald" will most certainly make an example of our company.

Instead of the council he should have quit the company. Merck is such a shathole now, total joke.

Trump could have cried for 4 straight days and it still would not have been enough for the Trump & middle class haters out there. People don't hate Trump, they hate that he is giving a voice and returning fairness to the middle class/average people. Minorities incorrectly see that as a threat to affirmative action and upper class elitist whites see that as a threat to their idea and dream of guaranteed success by inheritance/birthright.

Merck's CEO Ken Frazier resigning from White House council 1 Hour Ago | 01:01

Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier resigned Monday from the president's American Manufacturing Council in protest of President Donald Trump's response to white supremacist violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Trump immediately blasted the drug executive on Twitter.

"As CEO of Merck and as a matter of personal conscience, I feel a responsibility to take a stand against intolerance and extremism," Frazier, the only African American CEO of a major pharmaceutical company, wrote in a tweet.

A rally by hundreds of white nationalists in Virginia took a deadly turn on Saturday when a car plowed into a group of counter-protesters and killed at least one person. A white supremacist has been charged.

At a news conference after the death, Trump denounced what he called an "egregious display of hatred and bigotry" displayed by antagonists "on many sides." That drew an immediate backlash from people who felt Trump had not taken a strong enough stance against bigotry and extremism.

Jim Cramer on tweet attacking Merck CEO: Ken Frazier deserves better, Trump should apologize 43 Mins Ago | 01:48

Frazier isn't the first CEO to step down from a presidential advisory council to protest Trump's actions. Former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick left in February over the Trump administration's immigration policies.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Walt Disney CEO Robert Iger later departed the President's Strategic and Policy Forum in June, after Trump said he would withdraw from the Paris climate accord. Musk also left the manufacturing council.

In addition, several executives are no longer part of the council since they have stepped down from their CEO positions in recent months. They include: Mark Fields, of Ford; Jeff Immelt, of General Electric; Klaus Kleinfeld, of Arconic; Mario Longhi, of U.S. Steel; and Doug Oberhelman, of Caterpillar.

Earlier this summer, Trump talked about taking presidential action on drug pricing to address the rising costs of prescription drugs in recent years.

Drugmakers are "getting away with murder," Trump said during a January news conference.

CNBC is reaching to other executives on the council to see if they have a response.

So the little white bigot boys (who post on CafePharma all day while accepting paychecks from MRK), are complaining about "snowflakes" after their small-handed POTUS is too frightened to call out American Nazis and the Klan? Losers.

The irony? The same ilk who get paid for doing nothing are all too ready to complain about minimum wage workers who get food stamps.

If you don't like it, quit. Man-up and leave now. But worthless hypocrites would rather accept corporate welfare than work for a living. MRK lost its reputation years ago thanks to greedy executives who tossed ethics in the garbage. Are you their offspring?

Did he resign from his posts on Obama's councils after Obama legitimized and backed black lives matter, which resulted in mass white police officer assassinations last year? Did he resign when Obama excused Islamic terrorism by citing the Crusades? No, he stayed silent. I could on but that's just 2 examples..

You speak the truth! BLM activists murdered many white police officers and the media /politicians were silent. Sickening!!!!

Good point, but better late than never. Why would Trump appoint a pharma executive to his business council if he actually cared about lowering drug prices? Because he doesn't give a dang about drug prices, Americans, or anything except filling his insatiable and hideous maw with Big Macs.

Who cares about an asteroid hitting the earth with a POTUS creating world havoc?

Pretty sure that the big-time posters and board admins on those Neo nazi and Klan sites directed them over here to stir the pot. Look at the rapid-fire posts in close proximity to each other….all saying the same stupid thing. Then they go and start ANOTHER thread, and bing-bang-boom, within 20 minutes 6 posts with the exact same rhetoric and shitty style. SEC and "hah-skool" football cant start soon enough! Itll give these pre limbic trolls something to else obsess over for the next five-six months.
