Keeping it real...

So how long after interview until offer for you? I interviewed but still have not heard anything, is this the norm? I know some of you have got offers in hand, how long did you wait after face to face to get the offer? Thanks for the heads up, have not had good luck with communication on any of this and this board rarely lets candidates down with lack of info!!!! Is the silence their way of saying "no thanks"? I was told start dates are not even pounding out yet and told to be patient if it is possible and no other offer is on the table to just wait this out, not sure if this is the best thing to do. Any insight?

I wouldnt sweat it, if you have another offer take it! I know of areas that are still not hired and some of us cannot just "wait". I see your point. Have you tried calling the RSD? I was told that a real expectation of start date would occur in the next few weeks, but I also was told a few other dates as well so dont take it at face value. sorry.

I know for a fact that some people start on monday

I think this may be right, but certainly not everyone, to the original poster- be patient. Very few have a start date on monday but it is weird that so many start dates are scattered about, normally you would see a similar start date across the board during an expansion. the couple others i know who are interviewing do not have start dates yet so i wouldnt get all worked up about not being told at this point. dont let it ruin your weekend!!

I also have been given the silent treatment. Interviewed in late December and have heard next to nothing since despite being told by multiple people that I was in the drivers seat and that no final decision had been made as of yet. Starting to get frustrated.

BTW - keep the negative responses to yourself. Some people are depending on this and believe in the product!!!

ditto. would not bank on it. if you have another offer don't be a fool and pass it up! I agree that waiting on this could be a detriment to your career, be smarter than that. an offer in writing is real, being told by Sav. to wait it out as they interview other candidates would not be a smart business decision for you or your family especially if you have another opportunity lined up.

do what's best for you and family. You accept other offer and if sav then comes through for you shorlty after, then you're truly in driver's seat. Best of both worlds. Empowered. Paycheck in left hand. Perhaps a better opportunity in other hand. That's a good problem to have. Sure it may be a bit uncomfortable to tell employer A that you don't want it anymore but the only loyalty and obligation you have is to yourself, and to put in honest work with the employer of yourr choosing. Good luck.

Yep, I hear this and I do not get whey Savient is stringing along so many folks, there is something called professional tact and courtesy. It sounds like a few of you are getting the old stall technique as they look for the bigger better candidate. The best thing to do when this happens is not to put all your eggs in one basket, keep interviewing and keep pursuing all other opportunities, use your power and leverage as Savient may never answer your bell....the old switcheroo' could be in play in many territories now with the dates for hire being all over the map and many offers may have gone out, but a large % still are not accepted!!!

Started today!!! Interesting as the managers are at meetings all week, but was sweet to know that I am off. on board as I hear many of you others are still trying to fig. out whether or not you are going to be here. nerveeeeee......its nice to be done with worrying about when we were going to get off the ground. When the RD's get bck from their war room meeting I am sure another convo will go down. Hang in there and enjoy your first week!

The delay in offers and start dates may be due to lack of support in the home office/HR department. Since the company wanted to be bought out they likely don't have a bunch of extra people on board to keep things moving. For me, I received a verbal offer 2 weeks after interviewing and the written offer by fed ex 5 days later. Be patient but don't pass up another opportunity!
