What is the average starting salary range for Medicis?
Why is Medicis hiring so many reps all of a sudden? Is there a new drug in the pipe? Or is there an acquisition in the works?
Is there another training class besides the one that starts on the 31st?
What's it really like to work here?

Thanks for your help.

We are hiring more reps in strategic markets to obtain increase sales before more generics hit the market for Solodyn in November. After November if numbers drop as forecast, layoffs of the bottom 1/3 is possible.

So to answer your question, "no new product or aqucisition"

I heard that starting salary was 90k. Is this a low or high offer?

They don't pay that much in salary, try to say you will make it in bonus but for the few months you may work there it's not worth it on your resume. Always firing people and always interviewing in every market . .

If this is your make or break the deal question, why didn't you ask the interviewing manager? These continuous lame questions are a bore. Maybe it's time for big pharma for you. The derms will not tolerate your trivialities.

Pending offer for contract, but I'd be leaving a regular full time pharma position......we are a smaller company and only blockbuster is going generic this year. Already had one round of layoffs and lost a lot of great managers. Will I be coming into a situation where I may be stuck looking again before the year is out? Is it because of layoffs or do they just let go of low performers? Anyone come in as contract and go on to be full time? I've heard great things from the company from medispas, but contract is for derms and I haven't gotten a call back from the aesthetic rep the medispa gave my information to. I actually really enjoyed my current company (partly because I had a great manager before he left in November) considering leaving my current company because growth is stalled for advancement in the company.

That is $16,000 above what the average private sector American makes...that includes hamburger flippers, washroom attendents, immigrant maids, professional pooper scoopers, car wash attendents, that cute little office clerk you see at the docs office every two weeks, etc, etc, etc.

You are in for a very unpleasant experience. The CEO runs this company like his own frat club, sleeps with as many of the female reps as possible, treats his employees as vassals, and fires people on a whim. Other than that, a great place to work.

You'll rue the day you signed on with them.
